Oddly, my phone didn't ring when they called, the call just went directly to voice mail.  Even more oddly, they actually left a message, something phone solicitors don't usually do.  She identified herself as "Christine, your local health care advisor", without identifying the company she represented.  She gave a number to call back to discuss my "current situation and upcoming policy changes".

I would expect that if the caller was really with my health insurer, she would have mentioned the name of the company.  Also, my insurer usually communicates with me via snail mail, not phone calls on a Saturday.

I had the exact same experience. Voicemail with no ring. I called back and the guy asked me questions about my current health insurance and if it is from the exchange. When they found out it was from my employer, he almost hung up on me. Seems fishy.

Same thing - voicemail, no missed call in my call log. I'm curious as to how they are able to go directly to voicemail.  In any case, the voicemail was: "Hello, this is Christine, your local health care advisor, trying to reach you in regards to your health insurance policy. Please call us back at 855-215-6313 as soon as you get the message so that we can discuss your current situation and upcoming policy changes. Again,  that number is 855-215-6313. Thank you. Have a great day." It sounded like a pre-recorded message.

My health insurance company never calls. They always communicate with me through the mail with a number asking me to call with questions.

Exact same Witt me. Same voicemail. Called back and a guy answered speaking really oddly (almost like Jim Carey comedy voice). Asked if I was applying for coverage. I said no, the phone call said I needed to call back about changes in coverage. He asked who my insurance was through and I told him my employer's insurance name. He said "ok, you can ignore the call then" and hung up before I could say anything else. So odd.

"Christine your local health . . . " Straight to voicemail.  They are fishing for uninsured. This is illegal cell phone solicitation.

I agree with all of the previous posters, including call from "Christine" last week straight to voicemail, but yesterday I got a call from the same number
"Jessica with the Insurance Specialists ... I understand you are looking for more affordable options ..."
    I blocked the number.

That's funny you say that I got the same call and I remember thinking immediately it was a prank call because the guy sounded really animated like an obnoxious cartoon character.. Strange

This number called again. This time it didn't ring, but did end up in my call log. No voicemail this time, either. I have blocked and reported the number.

It's a health insurance scam, don't answer it!
I called, asked them about their insurance plans, they gave me a too good to be true plan, I asked them to email, fax or mail me the policy, they told me they were not allowed until I got set up for direct deposit ( other words, they have access to my bank account). I hung up on them.

Same thing as everyone here, went straight to voice mail with no ring. Definitely a scam. I hate when people say they've already talked to me and want to continue the conversation, like we have some kind of working relationship already--I don't think so, "Maria!" Do they think I am that absent-minded? Ugh. Blocked.

I would be mindful of giving out any info, even if  it is just your insurance company. If they were calling on their behalf, they would not have to ask.

Yep, exact same as Tam on 7 May above.  Call came in 1 June, straight to vMail, no ring... etc.  Though no call log, the voicemail box had the number it originated from:  855-218-0090.  Don't know if that is spoofed, or really where they came from.  Reported  both numbers on DoNotCall.gov.  Didn't sound like a robocall, but I bet it was.

Keep getting a call from 855-215-6313; leaves a message from Marie ~ Finally called back told her not to call me anymore, she said I applied for health Insurance and she didn't have time to be calling people who didn't want insurance and my number is nationwide. Told her I did not apply for health insurance and to not call anymore; she hung up on me
