These people call me in the mornings. I don't know who they are or what they do. Other than interrupt  me, of course.

Hit redial.  Answers with "customer service".  I asked what their business was.  She said "on-line advertising".  Requested they put on DNC list.  72 hours to process.

They continuously call my place of employment every morning around 10am and never say anything, I have even stayed on the line for 2 minutes and still no one says anything. Always dead air.

"*jibbers in Arab language* Uh, hello, my name is Robin, I need to speak to the owner or manager"
"We only speak in English, Muhammad, take us off your list"
"What?"
"TAKE.......US.... OFF.... YOUR.... LIST"
"I just need to confirm some details"

This number called today, 2:50pm.  Dead silence for about 20sec, then call terminated from their end.  [***].

They called again today, 10:22am.  A human picked up after just a second this time.  Didn't sound American -- south-central Asian? -- but not hard to understand.  She asked to speak to the manager of the business.  I told her (truthfully) that this isn't a business, it's a university, and asked her to put the number on the do-not-call list.  She said "ok", but it didn't sound like they were really going to do that.

I heard the phone ring in a neighboring cube immediately before mine; I'm guessing it was the same people, but that guy was out today.

They called at least once before my post yesterday (immediately before this one on this page), and I told them it was a university and not a business, and they said "ok" then, too.

I called them, obviously a call center. I asked to have my number removed and before i could finish my sentence, she read from a script "I am forced to terminate this call - goodbye, and hung up.
I reported the number as a violator of the National Do not Call list.
REPORT THESE CROOKS !!

I answered but no one said anything. I finally hung up.
