Called from Pittsburgh per caller ID, when checking message, said from Amerigroup.  I do not live there.  I refuse to call it back, they looking for my info...???  If on medicaid they should not be soliciting info from us

I got the same BS from this caller as well, Said AmericaScamGroup

Called from another number 412-773-8582. Twice, first time a recording left a message for my name. Second one for my husband. Said it was from Amerigroup, you would think they would send something in the mail if it was for insurance/medicaid.

I got the call as well and then asked me my birth date. Then I put in the number in google and this what came up. does anyone know who to repot this to?

I chased this down and they are with Amerigroup. In our case they wanted to do a new customer interview.

I never called the back, and they finally called me from the number on my Amerigroup card. I asked and they confirmed the calls from this number were valid. I let them know the calls scream scam, doubt anyone cares.

some of you guys are being paranoid.
the calls from a Pennsylvania number (412-773-8582) asking you to call them back on a toll-free number (in my case, 855-233-9864) ARE just for their legitimate automated survey.   since they know your first and last name, they just ask you to confirm your birthdate, and then they proceed with general health and "number of visits" sorts of questions, reminders about the importance of mental health, plus at the end the recording reminds you that you can call their "Amerigroup On Call" line for non-emergent medical questions.
anyway- it's very common these days for an independent company to be hired to handle a survey like this:  so, they might call from whatever number they have available, anywhere in the country.  then- so that you don't have to pay for the return call (if you don't pick up the phone) they leave a voice message with a toll-free number for you to call.
it's not a sign that this is a scam.
nobody is trying to steal your identity.
they just want to know basic statistics about whether or not you take prescription medication, how many times you've visited the hospital or the emergency room in the last 6 months, etc. etc.
