Comcast Home Security Advanced Technical Support calling to help to resolve issue with Comcast Home Security.

I have an issue with Comcast - my security and internet hardly work.  So I finally schedule maintenance and have a technician coming out in a few days.  However, since my call last week, I have received calls from this number 4-6 times a day, including while I'm at work and getting ready for work!  This is annoying and half the time when I pick up there's no one there!  If I have a technician scheduled why am I being called so often!  I'm blocking the number, which will probably end up resulting in the technician not being able to reach me at some point.

I'm in the very same predicament as Neko Iz Mase who reported above here. I get security, internet, TV & phone through Comcast. (I know, I'm crazy to put all those eggs in one basket, right?)

For 2+ weeks the connectivity for all their services has been extremely spotty, the new modem (which they inexlicably had me replace my previous identical one which was working fine with) constantly fails, & I have to unplug &/or reset my Xfinity  "Gateway" (the modem) several times a day to get my wireless & land line up & running.

I finally got an appt. for a technician to come out in a few days to investigate & now get these calls from this number with no one on the other end! Very annoying, but classic Comcast. It's just how they roll, apparently.¯\_(ツ)_/¯

After making an appt for a service tech from Comcast.  Someone left  VM msg saying they're from Comcast.  I call back and it shows up as the origin of the call is Cambodia.  The person didn't seem to understand why I was calling.  I didn't feel like providing my personal information.

Keep getting calls from this number while im at work. Asking what i will be home .

I chatted with Comcast to make sure this was a legit call bc it made me feel uneasy. I was told the people that call from this number are contracted out by Comcast to help manage the appointments for techs called out for Home Security Issues.

I had the same issues..... Coincidence i think not. These people hook up other people modems who get their cable for free. That's why we are all experiencing the exact same problems. Some dishonest technicians do this.. I have 3 boxes was contacted by tech support, they saw 12 boxes. Me or customer service couldn't see them... Block this number and DON'T give them your information.

Comcast should call using  COMCAST as caller ID, not using 855 235 9204. Anyone could call using the name of Comcast and deceive customers. It is incredible.

I had the same issue. The call is suspicious. If a technician is already scheduled to visit me, why do I need to provide a stranger with my personal info. Comcast should have used caller ID. The person who I spoke to reminded me of another caller who requested access to my computer. Give me a break.

This guy told me he could send me some batteries for my home security devices. He said his name was Jandeep! He knew my name phone number, the date of my Comcast appointment and my full name. I was told by comcast that there would be no charge since I have been paying the service plan. I will speak to Comcast about this. If it is true that it is Comcast I will be leaving Comcast!

Large companies can "produce" a scammer. Some people who get a job see an opportunity to scam and take advantage of using the company as a means to "cover" their tracks. Reporting to Comcast about it will reveal if they are behind it or someone is scamming you. Big companies like Comcast don't like other people making money at their expense and will try to remedy the issue, then silently take care of the problem to avoid legal issues.
Now if it is an affiliate 3rd party of theirs, they will just give you the "run-a-round" and you will know someone at Comcast is behind it.

After spending time in a Comcast chat room to set up a technician visit to check out my home security system, I've been bombarded all weekend with incessant robo calls asking to me to the 855 number regarding that same service appointment.  It made no sense to me, so I've been ignoring every voice mail message.  I'm glad I did now, knowing this apparent scam has been going on for years.

Same  thing on my end too, I don’t see how  Comcast advance  team can help with my home security  which is  the  camera  mounted to my home OUTSIDE , which is obvious why a technician is scheduled and obvious the advance team can read the notes.   This number as well  Comcast Xfinity third parties is not safe  can’t possibly be legit.  You can have Comcast block  third parties.  I agree anyone calling should be coming up Comcast!

Ya they had information that a non legit contractor would not have.  They work for Comcast.  He knew when my Keypad was not mounted correctly .

Ya then you would have no reason to look up the phone number, would you? You already know "they (allegedly) work for Comcast".
