What were they saying?  I received a call today threatening me with legal action, saying I owe money to them but I have never received any money from united capital.

They are scammers who want to trick you into paying a non-existent loan.  Wait for the "going to jail" call too.  You would get a written notification if you really did owe money.  Ignore them - they are probably in another country!!

Give them ZERO information - they are phishing for information.  You do  not go to jail even if you did owe money!  (Expect a call that the police are coming too.)  Not telling you the problem is a certain scam. Written notification  is necessary if you actually did owe money.

Called my work, said I owe them money on a payday loan and they are sending the police to my work and home.  I kept hanging up on them and they quickly called back several times until I talked to "legal"

I received a call today threatening me with legal action, saying I owe money to them $500.00 but I have never received any money from united capital  or whatever the hell the company is..These people will call you 10 times a day threateningyou for your information..Whateve  you do do not give these stupid mfers your personal information nor agree with them about your information .

I received a call today at work stating they were going to start legal action and garnish my wages.  They called my work and called my cell phone twice. Can barely understand them. I believe they stated they were from United Cash whatever bogus company that is. I called my Attorney Generals office and they will investigate them . Hang up on them when they call and don't give out any information or talk to them.

These people call and call and call. They leave threatening voicemails on not only my phone, but one of my managers voicemail too! They want you to send a money gram to them. I told them they were scam artists. He said they didn't expect one cent from me and I told him I don't expect any legal documents from him. He almost admitted that I wouldn't, but that he planned to make my life miserable. Made me SO angry!!! DO NOT GIVE THESE LOSERS ANY INFORMATION OR MONEY!!!!!!!!

I received a call from this # at my place of work. The guy was indian and hard to understand. He was asking for one of my employees.  Was a real jerk when I accidently hung up on him and he called back (I said "I am so sorry, I had an issue with the phone he said "NO YOU HUNG UP  ON ME!" )
I did not know who this person was but I transferred to my employee and apparently when she picked up, no one was there which prompted me to do a google search on the phone number.  
He better not call again or he will get an earfull from me!

Called me 45 times in one hour ... scary part saif they were goin to come and kill me. They have my social security work n cell number what can i do.

Continuous calls, threatening, demanding, using "legal" speak to try to engage in information exchange.  Speaking English with a very strong accent, almost incomprehensible.

Continuous calls, threatening, says he is going to threaten legal action and calls my employer.  Strong accent.  He said he didn't care when I said I was calling the police.  Very scary.  I see this is a scammer but I'm scared.

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

When asked their company name they refuse to give it and if they do give it they say it so quickly that you can't understand them.

They can/will continue to call. Tell them you reported their number to all of the above agencies and tell them you changed your bank account number and if they call back you will press charges. The calls will temporarily stop until they get a NEW number. They will do this countless times until they FINALLY get it through their heads that you will NOT be DOOPED into giving them any information.

The reason this happens is because if you EVER apply for any type of credit card or loan online SOMEHOW they get your contact information.

Contact IC3.com, contact your bank, the SSA, FTC, and there is a link of the FBI page for reporting things like these. This is a scam, they will not kill you, they do NOT have your personal information, and are operated outside of the US. If you tell them you have reported them to these agencies and if they call back you will press charges the calls will stop.....that is until they change the number they call from. It will continue to happen for a while. My receptionist tells them I got fired and threatens to call the cops.

Oh and they will say anything to get you to react. You will get cussed out, life threatened, job threatened, etc. This is the second time from a different number this has happened to me in 5 days, same guy but a different name....on Friday he was Alvin and today he was Brent. I'm sure on Friday he will be Charles.

The first time they said it was Cash Advance American, now it's United Cash something. The first time I didn't pay off a $12,000 payday loan (I don't think those actually exist and if they did there's no way I can pay that back), later that day it was a $700 payday loan, and today it was a $5,000 installment loan. They said they had my bank account number but I never made a payment....well if you had my bank account number they it should have been an auto-draft so again....why call me????

Anyways...this is just a scam. Don't believe it, trust your gut, know that you will not be arrested for defaulting a loan, you will not be arrested without some form of PHYSICAL notification (ie a letter in the mail or an officer at your home/work), and IF YOU ASK THEM TO FAX YOU PROOF THEY WILL HANG UP ON YOU!!!!!!

they started calling when i went to bed after work.... called 39 times so far, i just sent a text message threatening to call the police. i was half asleep but it sounded like the social they had for me was right so they have something on me....  i got tired of telling them they were bugging me so i started hanging up, then they said "why u hang up on me". they won't talk now, just call & hang up... when i ignored their calls they called from restricted once

If you do a search on this number using Google a link comes up and says that this number just started getting used again on August 27th, so they recently acquired this number. FRAUD!!!
