Telemarketer call, routed by computer from another country to look like call originated from the US. don't answer the call.

Recived call from this number asking me about date of birth.  She said she is calling from Bank of America. When I gave a call to Bank of America I found the lady and the number is not from Bank of America.  So be care full

I suspect a Phishing scheme.  Said it was a courtesy call from Bank of America.  Then started to ask me to confirm account information.  I said "no thanks"  and hung up.

Scammers call and leave no message on answering machine.

Pretty sure this is a credit card scamming company trying to get your information for fraudulent purposes.  They called and said it was a courtesy call from Bank of America and asked me to confirm my date of birth.  I asked "a courtesy call about what?" and the guy fumbled and stuttered over his words.  I said "I don't have time for this" and hung up.

I too have gotten this call just now. I said why you are calling and asking by dob and ssn - he said he cant tell until I confirm these. I said I cant and hung up.

Also received call where they said they were from Bank of America wanting to confirm dob and ss.  I advised them I would not give them any info since they called me and would not give me any other info then I hung up.

This is a fishing number to collect personal info for fraudulent purposes.  Do not answer this call.  

I also recieved a call from this number. The woman on the other end said she was with Bank of America and this was a courtesy call. Then she asked for my date of birth. I told her I'm not giving that out. She replied, "I understand. Thank you, and have a nice day." I'm pretty sure they were attempting to get my info for fraudulent purposes.

Received a call from this number today, asking for my DOB, they said it was courtesy call from Bank of America to confirm my information. I said I'll stop by agency to confirm my information, not by phone. For me, it was a scam.

I received the call from same number (855) 251-6636 and after I noticed, I started to ask the lady some other questions and then she hangout.
Afterwards, I called the number and they answer as if they where Bank of America, the lady told me they are in San Antonio ...she asked me about what number they called me before (my phone number)... Like I was going to tell her... Definetlly is a fake site.

Bank of America never responce directlly but with the caractheristic BofA music and voice and you have to make some sort of sellection; and these guys play a fake guy’s BofA recording, and then they answer directlly..

They said all of the same stuff to me.. asked for my date of birth. I asked them why and they wouldn't tell me.  Just said they had "important information about my Bank of America account."  I asked for the number to verify if they were from bank of America and they gave me a fake number.  Clearly not associated with bank of America. don't give them your information and fall victim.

Got a call from this number asking for DOB to verify and said she is from Bank of America, and would like to go over benefits. I hung up.

Got a call from this number, ignored it. Then searched it on google. Here i am now after reading all your post, thankful for not even answering.

Just received a call from this number, on my cell. I didnt answer, and they didnt leave a message.  Looked up the area code- its out of country. If they call, dont pick up.

They called me and i verifired my dob nothing else as I could not talk. First time receiving this type of call. Should I be worried? How do they obtain our info?

Got a call from these scammers just 30 minutes ago.  Said it was a courtesy call yet they kept trying to get my DOB, Full Name, address and other personal info and would nto tell me why or what for.  I gave them nothing as I seen this kind of scam before.

Just like email scams never give any information back to a email or a company that calls you directly.  Always call the company directly from the number on your statement so you know for sure who you are talking to or else your asking for it.

Actually, this is a legitimate call from B of A. I had received a couple of calls, then finally decided to give them the info just to see what it was about. I had recently opened a credit card, and they were just calling to make sure I received it and give me some info about the card rewards and stuff. I also followed up with my branch, and they were able to confirm that the guy actually was in their employee database.

If you just got a credit card from them, they are probably going to call you.

You have to call to activate your new card.

The info Pedro posted is completely true, I understand it is normal to be weary of everything in this day and age, but there is still some good people out there. This is just a new way BoA is trying to reach out to customers. There is no scam here and it is completely your choice to go through with the call or be taken off the calling list.
