I got the same call as Leslie today and spoke to "Michael Miranda". He started off by saying I had 72hrs to appear in court and pay $3000. He said they'd take my car, bank accounts etc. He almost had me until I realized the amounts he was asking for kept changing as well as the dates they needed to be paid and the amount of time I had to respond. I told him he wasn't making any sense because he kept changing his story and I thought it may be a scam. He offered to send me an email so I can match the name on the letter head with the company on my credit report. He signed the email as "John Mason". Instead of pulling my credit report I decided to look up the company, any reviews and the address. Luckily I came across this site and was able to read up on them. I will not be accepting any more calls from them. Scam.

I received a call today from a private number and I do not answer private calls. So they left a message and said that there name was Kevin Johnson and that he has a very important matter to discuss with me and to call back 855-252-8509 using ref#09-0462.. When I called the person he answered the phone without saying what the name of the place was. I tryed asking who he was and where he was calling from and he said he was just a switchboard operator that transferred calls to companies. Makes absolutely no sense but I waited and got transferred to a man who named himself Michael Miranda. I then started questioning him and he told me that I was getting sued by a credit card company and that if I didn't pay a certain amount of money in a month that a warrant would be issued for my arrest. I started arguing with him saying why didn't I ever get paperwork about this. I then heard whispering in the background and it was a lady. He then came back and had my address, birthdate, last four of my social security number, my fathers name, and my email address. So I kinda felt that maybe it was for real. But something made me google it and sure enough it isn't. He sent me an email of some sort of contract with the amounts they are saying I owe. How did they have all my info!! And what do i do?? This is terrible!!!

Report them:

Also contact your local attorney general

If they continue to bother you, and you know you do not owe any money,  tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  You might have to yell at the scammer and talk over him or her.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them.

I also got a call from a mike Miranda...he threatened to garnish my wages, take money from my credit cards and bank accts, repo my car etc. He had my address, last for of my SS#, credit card info, my car leasing info.... very scary. He sent me an email signed by  John Mason, stating I needed to pay a total of $2620!! I googled the company Mason and Miranda and there is no such company...I even check BBB....
I called my credit card and let them know of the fraudulent activity that would be taking place ad had to cancel all my credit cards.

calls from this company saying I owe them money! Has anyone ever been brought to court or paid this company off sounds like a scam to me!!
