Caller ID says only "Energy Checkup".  No message ever left in the 4 times they called in the last two days.

I received a call from 855-261-1212 on 6/2/14 telling me that PEPCO would like to someone to my house to check my house and make sure that I make the improvements on saving electricity. I remember that a man came to my door saying that he wanted to come in and discuss how to help me to save electricity with PEPCO he had a PEPCO  jacket and a cap with PEPCO on it  and I heard on the news that these people were imposters. I told the lady the same thing she was saying to me on the phone was the same thing that the man that came to my door said and he was an imposter and hung up the phone.

KEEP CALLING BUT WILL NOT LEAVE A MESSAGE.  I'M GOING TO BLOCK THE NUMBer

I received a call from 855-261-1212 a few minutes ago.  The caller identified herself as a Pepco employee and wanted to send someone to my house to conduct an energy audit in order to assure I had the latest and greatest gadgets to save energy consumption.  I contacted Pepco immediately after the call and the Pepco rep told me the number was not a Pepco number and that Pepco had no such program in progress.  This was definitely an imposter.

I received this call at my sisters house  saying the same thing the other people on this post wrote.  What can be done about this?

hello everyone, i recieved this call this morning from 855-261-1212   person asked for a person who hasnt lived in house for 14 yrs, when i told them they hung up. so i called it back ( i know dumb right) but the phone number isnt working, so  since it didnt give a name doesnt work must be a scammer taking advantage of real companies out there, trying to get  everyone to go green,  now my co-op electric company does have  ppl that will asset ur house. AFTER u call them up to make appointment,  also get calls from a 301 number.
