MY cell phone is for me and only to those I want to know the number and to call me. This is crap to have some telemarketer robot or whatever calling my cell.

your an idiot and so is VZW.  Quit harassing us.  If we want to renew we would do it ourselves.

These people call every day.  They never leave a message.  How do you get them to stop?  We just don't even bother answering it because they don't leave messages so we thought it was bogus.  Sigh.  It drives me crazy and would like it to stop

I guess they changed their program now. Their was no number displayed on my caller id. The person calling, Johnathan Howard, claimed to have legal papers for a friend of mine who listed me as an emergency contact. This person is supposedly investigating some "suspicious activity"on my friends checking account and he would like to get my friends current phone number and address. (by the way, he doesn't have a checking account) OK, that's three reasons given for the call. I told him I would be happy to pass on any information on his behalf and asked for the details.
With this, he gave his name, Johnathan Howard; number, 1-855-261-9687; and a company name of Progressive. I asked, Progressive what, to which he replied, Progressive Processing Services. I don't know the validity of this call, but the first clue to me was having no number on my caller id. This is always a red flag to me. I will pass the info on to my friend, as promised, but he is likely to ignore it.

This is NOT Verizon Wireless.  At first, they CLAIM to be Verizon.  Then, when cornered, they change their story and CLAIM to be a company (Infocontracted by Verizon to make special offers to customers.  Beware.  And be wary.

The number that I actually have is 855 261 9687. The company name is claimed to be Progressive. They have called my 71 year old mother twice today making legal threats against my 20 year old daughter (her grandaughter) unless she pays 270 dollars on a supposed online loan that she took out 2 years ago at age 18. She or should I say I paid that loan off through her Wells Fargo account at the time. They claim to have purchased the delinquent loan from the online company and are now threatening to sue her. They are extremely rude and threatening. I believe they do this to try and scare people into paying bogus claims. I have told them to go F_ _ k themselves.

This number, 855-261-9687, has called me identifying herself as "Ashley Payne." Ashley, come on now, you are calling the wrong person. But your message is quite funny and full of holes. You say that there has been a formal complaint filed against this person (who had my phone number before me), but you need to verify her address or place of employment to serve the papers. Do you really think that she would actually call you to give you her address? Wake up Ashley. I've been getting these calls for nearly 2 years and you still haven't found her.

Then you give this number for her to call one last time before she is served at her job or home, as if you already know where she is. Do you see the inconsistencies here? First you say you need to verify her home address or place of employment, and then you say this: At this point it is your legal right to contact the plaintiff on your own behalf one final time before you are served at your job or your home.

Well, you can't serve her till you find her…right? And she's not calling you back…right? And calling the wrong person definitely will not find her…right? And lastly, this comment cracks me up: You have been officially notified and we will be seeing you soon. How can you be "seeing" the person you're after when you're calling the wrong person to begin with. Hello!!! I'll end it the way you did: Good Luck!!

This call was from a company representing Verizon. They called because I went over my minutes on my Verizon plan and offered me another plan to cover my usage. It was a good deal. My bill went up $10 a month and added unlimited calling and no charge mobile hot spot. And, waived the overage fees and no contract renewal. No problem for me. It's legit. I checked my plan and it's been updated exactly as stated. And, it saved me money before I racked up a bunch of overage charges.

I am getting calls but not leaving messages. I would like these calls to stop.

I got a call from 855-261-2339. I answered and said hello once and no response so I hung up.
I do have Verizon and this month my minutes are reaching the limit so it is possible that this is a company contracted by VZW making calls to offer other plans...

Just received a call from this number. Comes up on caller ID as Energy Check up....did'nt answer & no message was left...

These calls are a scam..
