Message on computer stating computer was infected with spyware that was getting personal info and credit card info and unless this number was called, computer would be disabled. Manually shut down computer and restarted with no problem.

I just got the same thing. Let me see, call an unsolicited unknown number and give them control to my computer, my credit cards and my bank account. I don't think so. Sounds like the same scam they used to use on the phone to wipe out your life's savings. I get the same thing claiming to be from Firefox. They are getting good I can tell you that.

PS  Microsoft will not come to you. You have to go to them. Be safe, or be sorry.
