Caller state there name and told me they would be on my job tomorow and if I am not at there they  will procede to my home. Have to form of ID and a witness availabe to sign for these papers. Then they stated Nessa u have been served.

I received the same message who is this?

My ex husband got the same message for me. Doe anyone know who this is and has anyone actually been served?

No one calls to give you a heads up you'll be "served" - the court process servers just show up, unannounced.  Plus, it's not legally possible to call someone and tell them they've "been served"   That's just ridiculous. Red flag #1.

You do not need a "witness" and two forms of ID to receive a court summons - red flag #2.

You will not be served at work - they say this to scare you because who wants to be embarrassed like that at work?  Red flag #3

It is illegal to harass alleged debtors with threats of lawsuits, embarrassment at work, etc.  And think about it - if they could find you this easily to "serve a summons", how come they couldn't already mail you dunning notices in the mail first?  Even if you've moved, skip tracers have all sorts of ways of finding out where you live.

Bottom line - it's some scammer or very shady debt collector trying to scare people into paying debts they either don't owe, or have paid off already.  Never pay any caller without first demanding that they mail (not email or fax) documentation via USPS mail proving you owe a debt to them.  You have rights as a consumer under the rules and regulations of the FDCPA - read about it and learn them.

I am getting the same thing and that I am go n to be charged with  fraud and that they are coming to my house   what do I do

I received a call today and they left a voicemail stating that I needed to be available before 2:00 pm to sign some documents. He ended the voicemail with "good luck". I called the number he left me and this guy said there was a bill from US bank in collections and I had two options. One being a payment plan and the other being pay a one time fee. I said I had no idea what he was talking about and that I needed him to sent me some proof of this debt. He recited my address and my vehicle information and said I know there is another person listed on this vehicle (which is my boyfriend) and that I should notify him that his credit could be affected by this. WHAT!!! Can that even happen??? This doesn't sound right. He's threatening me with fraud and court!! Is this even a legit company??? Please help me!! Phone number is 855-264-9135

These people keep calling my job! I talked to "Johnnie Smith" and asked him politely to stop calling my job yet he continues. He gives no info on the alleged debt and claims to be a private carrier delivering legal documents. He even left me a message today (at work) stating this was his last attempt and that I am at risk of missing a court date "so good luck".
If the debt was legitimate, I wouldnt care but right now we are in the midst of filing for bankruptcy yet he wont take the information down!

I just called the number 855-264-9135 and talked to a man who claims this number belongs to a high end car dealership. What a crock in the ASS! I'm so sick of "Johnnie" and his other lying "private carriers" LOL. On the voicemail it says the name of this company is EAS, has anyone heard of them?

My husband got the same message tonight.  Said they were coming to his work place and home and needed ID or they would go to a family members house. my husband tried to call this number back said from EAS.  Nobody answered. Bunch of crap!

I am getting a message to call that number (855--264-9135)from a "private courier working out of St. Louis" which is hilarious because he is calling from St. Cloud, MN (I live in Northern Minnesota).  Same drill.  Says his name is Paul Buck and that I need to make myself available between noon and 3:00 and that he assumes I will be at work so he will be stopping there first. Said the same thing about having ID and two witnesses and in the second call he said I will need to have a supervisor or HR representative present. Says if he cannot locate me he will have to "mark it down as a direct refusal to comply which will result in a failure to appear."  Ended both calls with "consider yourself notified."

I got the same message you guys got. I got  scared. I looked up empire account solutions after I got my email telling me they were a collection agency not a lawfirm like they said!
