We got charged in our bank account for $8.99 after someone wanted to verify our number.  Sadly we got snookered.  This phone number was associated with the charge.  855 is NOT a real area code.  We got the charge removed but had to change things at the bank.  Be smarter than we were!!

I received two unexplained charges on my bank account for $8.99 labeled "Raptorflash". I had to cancel my credit card to stop the payments. The bank gave me this number as the Raptorflash business #. I called 855-279-0559 and got someone who started asking me for my information. When I asked them what the name of their company is, they replied that they provide customer service for many customers and needed my information to direct my call. When I asked them what was the name of the customer service company, the lady responded with "Customer Service Company". I hung up because I am not going to give a bunch of personal info to what appears to be a fraudulent company in the first place. The phone representative stunk of scam.

I received 8 charges for $8.99 until I noticed it.  Contacted the credit card company and they said that since the account was cancelled that they could not do anything about the charges and they told me to call 855-279-0559.
I am very upset with the credit card services as they should have researched this number and RaptorFlash.

It's not up to the credit card companies to research charges on your account. You should review your bill every month and report any unauthorized charges.

I can see why the account was cancelled. You obviously have no idea how a credit card works. You obviously never read your card agreement.

I recd a notification fr my bank about 8.95 charge fr RaptorFlash and did I authorize it.  I said I did not.  They cancelled my card and sent out a new one.  I just got ANOTHER charge fr them on my NEW card, one month later- after updating all my autopays - (Why can THAT one not require an update??)  I called the number, I gave them my name and zip to look up my account.  I was told it was for a VIP membership that started when I ordered a Free vintage Disneyland map off of fb, just pay shipping.  NO WHERE can I find anything about this membership or recurring charges.  I looked at their website under Terms and Conditions and still nothing, but it says something about if you view or browse the website you agree to the Terms and Conditions, hoping that viewing the website's Terms and Conditions doesn't mean they will begin charging me again. Still don't understand how they were able to charge my new CC, AND after I told my bank I did NOT authorize the transaction.

You will need to talk to your bank about the recurring charges.  Sometimes they automatically transfer over to the new card.  You should never order anything off of Facebook since everything on there is a scam including Facebook itself.

I cannot find anything about that company on the internet.  You say you went to their website?  What is the name of the site?

They can't auto charge a new card unless they have it on file, so perhaps when you updated your auto-pays, it was among them. You just need to find out which one.

It does not look like that person is coming back and there is a whole lot of information missing.  Why would someone pay for something that is "free"?  If you have to pay anything then it is not "free".  Where is this alleged website that they went to?  That would be key to a lot of what was written.
