I receive a text message from 1-855-279-1193. It said "Online alert received from Berkshirebank - Support Services: Your card has been limited. Contact Activation Center free: 1-855-279-1193 to remove restriction !" I do not have any cards/accounts associated with Berkshirebank. I googled Berkshirel bank and they have a 1-800 customer service number. Has anyone else complained abouy this number?

It's pretty obvious what they are doing.  They are phishing.  They can get virturally all of your financial info and more if one falls for this.  In the name of Re-activating your card,  they will ask for your cc numbers and pin numbers as well as all your pertinent personal information.  Then they are off t the races....

I got the same text message. It sounds like a scam. That's why I did exactly what you did -  found Berkshire Bank online and found they have 1-800 number.
On  another Google search I found that the 1-855# has called other people to tell them they won the lotto.
When I text them to "STOP" I received a mail system error returned mail.
