Received a text from 855-279-8290 indicating that my debit card was locked.  It said to call 844-856-3103.  Phishing...

I got the same message and block the number, because I don't have any account with BofAmerica...

Yes, As I, received a text message, I called the number, 844-856-3103, it stated if I wanted to reactivate the card to press 1, then it immediately asked for the debit card number...I don't have a BOA account, so I tried to get a physical person, no luck, finally the service hung up...
My thoughts exactly....DON'T ENTER YOUR CARD NUMBER, I would bet to say it is a phishing attempt to STEAL your funds....

Rec'd the same text msg.  Tried to report it to the "DoNotCall" registry.  Unfortunately there is no current law restricting spam/phishing text messages.  However they did have a form which I filled out to report this unwanted text message. Don't know if this is just for informational purposes as they don't have any authority to stop these scam texters.

Got a text from them today at 0912. I figured it was a scam because I don't do business with BOA. Just to be on the safe side, I researched the numbers ( which turned out to be of no relation to the bank), and then I called the bank, gave them the origin number and the number the text said to call. BOA said the same thing, and said I should block the number.
