"How do we file a complaint...?" Dear BigA: try the attorney general's office in your state. If they are using a spoof number, though, they may be hard to find. But if the AG gets enough citizen complaints, they WILL at least investigate the matter.

Perhaps if you had passed reading comprehension you would have known that I was quoting the previous poster (the big hint would have been the quotation marks!).  Now the second part of my post stated that person should read the other posts since Tamianth had already posted links to the proper agencies to report to.

I am on the do not call list with all 4 of my phones and that does not stop them. I even have people call me from local numbers and the calls are telemarketing calls. You crack me up thinking do not call list works!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The do not call registry does work for the legal telemarketers who abide by the guidelines set forth, otherwise they face hefty fines if reported and found guilty. The scammers calling you and everyone else are just that, scammers, with absolutely no regard for the law. They do what they want, spoof numbers, use real business names and numbers into trying to trick you into answering what appears to be a legitimate call. Meanwhile, most are disconnected or non-working numbers that they hide behind to avoid being found. Many are located out of the country where it is difficult to locate and prosecute them.

Check your premises.  When was the last time you got a call from a Legit Telemarketer?  Before the DNC, I would sometimes get calls from mail order catalog outfits, real actual businesses. After signing up on the DNC, those calls dried up within a short time.

If you have that much trouble, you need to review your overall privacy and security strategy.  Maybe some new protocols and discipline? The details really count when tightening up your plan.

On the good side, with 4 phone numbers, you can do a great job of hiding in plain sight. If not sure how, do some asking around.

855 is a non geographical area code so basically they could be calling from anywhere.Do not answer- scam artists!

855 is actually a toll-free area code but even if it weren't, the scammers can still be calling from anywhwere. It's called phone number spoofing.
