I have a message that my Apple device has been locked and I need to call this number right away, I don't trust this!

I got a message that my iPhone was locked and to call this no.   I wS skeptical but called....immediately went to elevator music with a lot of static and I hung up.   Very skeptical S my iPhone is not licked.

Number claimed to be Apple but was phishing for personal information.  Apple said they would never do this.

I got the same pop up and called the number. They claimed to be Apple and said they were going to run a diagnostic on the problem. I later googled the number and when I realized it was a scam I called the real apple support and they said that the hacker manually stole my identification information including passwords and banking information. When Apple attempted to rid my phone i
of the hackers control they manually took over my phone and hung up on Apple support. I feel very scared and stupid for falling a for this. Do not call this number

Didn't understand the last part of your message. What do u mean the real apple support manually took ur phone? But yeah that number is scam! Change ur bank info, password and everything else immediately

The hackers claim to be Apple support when they are clearly not! The hackers are the ones who manually took over my computer and by this I mean that they linked my computer to theirs and took over my controls. I called the correct number for the legitimate Apple support and they helped me fix my problem and assured me that there is no way that the hackers can steal my banking information because all of that is hidden with incripited codes. I'm still skeptical tho, I'm going to change all my accounts anyway

They locked my ipad.  Immediately suspicious, but couldn't get rid of the window.  Went online to Apple.com and asked for a phone call.  they called back quickly and solved the problem simply.  Very helpful.  But don't push the "OK" on the pop-up.  These people are scum.
