Looks like a timeshare/travel agent thing. I received an "Official Prize Winner" notification in the mail with this number. I found their name in the very small print on the redemption rules.

I did one of these several years ago and they almost convinced me in my naivity to spend TENS OF THOUSANDS on a timeshare that there was no way I could afford at the time, living off E-5 salary in the military. It is very high pressure sales tactics, etc. I did enjoy the vacation we "won" in Florida and the bahamas, but we still ended up paying several thousand dollars (about $5K if I remember correctly) which is probably only a little less than it would have cost us had we just booked ourselves. Plus we would not have had to go through the timeshare presentation crap for about 2 hours at each of the locations.

I guess timeshares are good for some people. I personally don't see any advantages to them and am so thanful I wasn't sucked in by the high pressure sales tactics.

received a check for $49,000.   But in VERY SMALL PRINT AT THE BOTTOM IT SAYS HECK IS NOT REDEEMABLE..
