This morning I received a call from the number 1-855-345-7447, the caller was speaking in Chinese and she told me a important dhl package needed to be picked up. After I asked her the address where to pick up it, she hanged off the call. It must be scam.

I've just experienced the same thing. Luckily, the woman said she was going to report to her boss, the phone got cut off. Then a guy called me back by using phone number 613-927-9471. I told him wrong person and hang up. I am wondering that what these people want to get from you? Your driver's licence? Or, they think you will give them your credit card number?

There's a person called with this number, and my mom picked up. She told them full name also the first names of our family. I'm so pissed off that i didn't know what to do, I told her to call the non emergency line, because I have no idea what to do in this point. I'm sure they are trying to get our personal information, please beware not giving any information. (sigh)

Same experience here. Actually I called customs at shanghai and query the document number they gave me, I got no answer after several transfers. The last person told me I can ignore it and the parcel if does exist would return after 45 days if no one claims it. I believe it's a scam trying to get your identity in the police part. I hang up there when I realized it could be a scam.

I received a call from the same number today.  Everything is same as what you described except she said I sent a parcel from Vancouver to Shanghai.

I don't answer calls from numbers I don't recognize so I let it go to voicemail. They left no message. I also googled the number and it lookd almost exactly like the official DHL customer service number, except for the begining. I am no expert and maybe I am wrong, but the official number starts with 1-855..., while the number that called me started with 011-855... (The rest being exactly the same). Maybe it is a scam and this is how they managed to fake the number.

Don't tell them your legal name! It's a scam ... a guy speaking Mandarin told me that I sent a package from Vancouver to Shanghai on Sep. 5 containing multiple passports ... They might be collecting your name and phone number for some dirty purpose

Oh well, This scam is finally here. One will get a call from a logistic companies(scammer spoofed the phone number to make you believe it's from a legit logistic companies) and claimed you have send illegal items. The caller will transfer the call to a person pretend to be a cop, and in which you have to pay the cop money to get this off your back. Next time you can bargain with the caller whether they'll accept Canadian apples or your recycle bins as payment. For people who had given out their name and private information can contact "http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/scams-fraudes/rep-sig-eng.htm".
