I do not have caller identification. I answered the telephone; there were about two seconds of silence on the caller's end, and then the sound of a cutoff.

I get one phone call a day from this number and when I find out who this is---GOD HELP YOU!

We are getting 2 to 3 calls from this number a day and noone is there!!  it is really annoying. I WANT THEM TO STOP!!!!!!

Ask for my husband.Ask who was calling, he said it was a thank you call and would not tell me who it was from. Said he would call later.

I'm fed up. I'm purchasing an air horn for them :) I hope they enjoy it, as much as I enjoy them!

Oh, I'm sure he will be. I keep getting the call, they haven't stopped yet & its been almost a year.

Calls on nearly a daily basis, including at odd hours and on Sunday. Never anybody there.

Asks for my husband. I ask can I take a message, he says thank you and hangs up.  Calls again later---one would think they would get the hint---my HUSBAND does not want to talk to you or he would answer the phone!!!

When I answer (ONLY when we're expecting a call from a real person!) it's either a hang-up or they say it's a "courtesy call" for my husband. I suspect it's either a "charity" he gave money to once or some other "charity" they sold our number to. I try to be polite and then hang up quickly -- it's a human being who needs a job or he/she wouldn't be doing this.

I attempted to take a message, and they (a male voice) said, "You'd take a message if there was one, eh?". Then I hung up.

Calls 2 or 3 times a day. Nobody ever there.

Person claims to be collecting for Montana Sheriff's Association.  Don't know if true or not

I've gotten almost daily calls from this number. It seema area code 855 is one of the new toll free area codes like 800, 888, etc. It appears to be used for customer service and user support type services. Someon actually left me a vice mail the first time I was called. The caller wnated to know if I was still in residential real esate and to call if I was. I presume I would be offered leads (for a fee) or the caller himself wanted to buy a house. The subsequent calls were hangups, no messages.  Based on descriptions from other posts, I'm thinking this number is boiler room where many sales calls for many different companies are made each day. The do not call list is a joke, but most of you already know that. I know about chariites but thse calls are trying to sell me something and that folks is against the law if I'm on the list. I use that hang-up tone from a recording on my smart phone. It seems to work. Just Google hang up tone or not in service tone.

I have talked to the Montana Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association---there is no Montana Sheriff's Association, at least not an official one---and they do not do any telephone solicitations.  The fact that the calls sometimes say Montana Sheriff's Assn leads me to beleive it is a bogus fund raising effort--or, one that, to meet the requirements of the law, make only nominal donations to the entity identified.  Any phone calls soliciting donations for the Montana Sheriff's Association should be reported.

We receive calls from this number several times a week. I answered today and they asked for my wife. (she wouldn’t answer as they called her earlier today and then hung up on her) When I asked who was calling please, they hung up. She has given money to the South Dakota Sheriff’s Association in the past. I like the idea of the air horn, we are going to purchase one this afternoon. If nothing else, I can “annoy” them for a change.

This caller calls 1-3 times per day.  When I answer he asks if my husband (specific and correct name) is there.  He usually is not but this individual does not leave a message--SO ANNOYING!

They asked for my husband too. Did some checking and it has to do with porn. I used a dog whistle the next time they called--it works--but after a couple of weeks they will try again. A dog whisle is really loud and a lot cheaper than an air horn.

let the machine pick it up, since it was a 800 number on a sunday. No message left .. if he calls again I will block him ;-)
