received a message from a 'private number' who said they were serving a summons to someone who is not me, and that they should call the plaintiff's office at 855-391-3682 in 2 hours, or they would be serving them at their place of residence or work. They provided a case number too. I cannot find anything of this number on Google, and I think if it were a lawyer's office or anything like that, something would show up. Highly suspicious. Might be one of those number you call that reverses charges onto your phone bill, which is why I am not going to call it.

This company left a message on my mom's phone saying that a complaint had been filed against me by the state and I was going to be served in 3 hours at home and at work unless I called them.  They left no company name on the message, which if it was from the state or representing the state, they would have recognized that.  They only left a number and file number.  I called the number and it is a debt collection place called NCS.  I asked if there was a court case for me and the lady couldn't tell me anything.  She said she wasn't able to look anything up by my name.  If there were actually a court case against me, they would have been able to find it by my name and not just a case number.
