Just got a call stating received complaint in their office and if I did not respond would file charges in my county...Not sure what to think...leaning towards scammers

same message, came on my cell phone (which is listed with Do Not Call) and the complaint was against somebody else (Charles has not been put on notice, contrary to the assertion in their message)

Caller rep: was James Taylor

Call from a John Morton stating a complaint was filed this morning against someone who doesn't even live here.  Left a case number and said it was from a superior court in McDowell co.  And  I live in a different state.
McDowell Co.  Could be NC or West Virginia ??????????????

Received a very similiar message asking for someone else that I know and stated that someone filed a complaint and needed to call this number with a case number that they provided.  Scammers I think as well.

I contacted the individual and they called the number.  The people on the other end of the phone kept switching up people and reconnecting them to other people as well.  Stated they needed $350 or a federal warrant would be put on them.
