- Call type: Debt collector
- mikesame number called me, strange tactics these debt collectors use..do not give up personal info over the phone...that is to say never confirm the information they have on you is accurate. People that identify themselves as investigators should be truthful and open with the company they work at...if you ask for this info and they try to turn the call around...simply ask them you can just hang up.

- john smithjust had a phone call from them and they said he was lead investigator for the State of Pa. and was sending the sherrif here to charge me within the next 12-24 hours so I am waiting for the knock on my door.

- greyloboTired of these scammers calling if they are ligite let them serve papers if not please do not call me and threatening me. Need to be stopped. They will not answer questions and try to turn the call around. In almost all cases the sheriff's office does not give a call prior to serving writ/warrant.

Please do so I know what I am dealing with because I agree, not giving them the satisfaction of verifying or answering the phone And they keep changing up the phone numbers. How can anyone work doing a job like this and go home and have a conscience.

- dragon3rd call in 3 days from Investigator Paul Rosenburg for the CT Dept of Fraud saying his last attempt to make arrangments with me before my file gets expressed at 5pm today to the New Haven County Court and I have until then to call him at this number and he expects a call back today. Well I just did tons of research on google and I can not find a Dept called Ct Dept of Fraud. for the state of CT....so I guess I just might have to stop at a local police department and play the voice message for them to see what they think because I think it is crap and from reading above it looks like several people in several states are getting these calls from this number with people stating they are an investigator from that state. I see PA, CT and Al so far......I guess we shall see if I get some kind of court papers in the next few days wont we.

- down south| 1 replyI have also recieved calls from Paul Rosenburg but with me he is the lead investigator for the NC Dept. of Fraud. Looks like this man works in alot of states, ha. So I have tried to find the NC dept of fraud and looks like no such dept exists. I have checked with local and state law officals and no one can find it. So I called him and told him this and he said I will be served a summons in the next 3 to 5 days, hey thanks for the warning Paul.

- SLrcvd a call from a unknown number who stated they were a carrier company hired to by a company to serve me with a summons. The guy wouldn't give ne no information, and told me to call 855-393-3803 and my ref number. So I called them and ask them the name of there company and the managers name, b/c I was getting ready to report them to the police for making threats. The lady was trying to explain there business to me, I asked how did they get my name and information, she looked me up in there system and could not tell me anything, she told me she had to get the hard compy, so she placed me on hold for about 15min. Then this guy on the phone and wanted me to verify my ss# and birth date. I said no, I will not. Then he started yelling on the phone, and told me not to talk, and he will be down at my job with the sheriff to escort me to the police station...lol...I started laughing so he hung up the phone. So I called the BBB and asked them about this company, she said it was a debt collection comapny name NPS aka Nationwide Processing in NY. She said not to worry, they will not be showing up no where. She said they act this way bc they get to keep the money they collect if they do collect the money. She said to write to them, certified letter to tell them to never call no more. - Lisa Street| 2 repliesHello All,
They called my husband saying the same thing you all stated. Let me start by saying IT's A LIE!!! They can't serve criminal charges against anyone; only "legal storefront" owners can take a person to court on "civil charges". We are in NC and it's illegal for payday lenders to do business here and many other states. Also if you research this issue, were the ones fraud is being committed against. They aren't investigators. Think about it fraud: the law isn't warning you or trying to get payment for fraud, they are just gonna arrest you. These criminals will say anything to get there money because they know it's nothing they can do if you don't pay. Please don't fall for there scams! Do your research on these lenders and see if it's illegal in your state as well. I'm gonna do my best to report this company because there breaking many laws. Even if online payday loans are legal in your state doesn't mean there licensed and threating consumers is against the law and they Can be fined up to $1000 a call, that's why they won't give out much information. Most importantly they still can't take you to civil court only legal storefront lenders Can. Basically you don't have to give them a dime close out any account that they have access too. It's nothing they Can do but call and claim to be investigator Matt Morgan.. etc. Let's keep each other updated and informed.
Thanks,
Lisa- Caller: 1-855-393-3803
- Lisa StreetHey,

- THE ONE| 2 repliesHey Lisa and Dragon! The only scumbags on this page are you! Did it ever occur to you that maybe if you, your family and friends handled your resposibilities and paid back what you borrowed then you wouldn't be receiving phone calls at all.Instead you LIED and STOLE money and aren't paying it back! Who do you think the real SCUMBAG'S are?!I took out a payday loan and couldn't pay on time and am very thankful that i was given the opportunity through their department. All of you reading these "loser notes" should try handling your issues with this department and stop trying to get a "bail out" or excuse not to be resposible adult...............HMMM.........
- seth replies to THE ONEWhat's the matter "The One" The posts here hurting your scam a little bit? Good! And yet, I agree with you on one thing. I don't see why these people don't pay you, a total stranger, over the phone, because you say they should and of course you'd never lie. And God knows that you Follow the laws of the FDCPA to the Letter and provide all of the written validation they ask for, within 5 days, via usps. Now who could ask for more than that. It just seems to me that a legitimate collections person, would want to expedite a solution to the Alleged debt by providing the validation to prove that the debt is owed and legally collectable, and that you have the right to legally collect in those states. Just simply prove that those people "LIED AND STOLE MONEY". But of course you'd never do anything illegal yourself such as violate the laws of the Fair Debt collections Act.
So, how about manning up and sending those validating letters and lets get all of everyone's debts settled.
Thank you for your courteous and thought provoking post.... - fdcpa| 2 repliesIf these people followed the fdcpa, would it really matter? cause obviously you guys take out pay day loans because you have no credit to take out a loan from a bank, or get credit cards because you have obviously burned those bridges already. Meaning you never re-established your credit with them. Meaning you never paid the collection agencies that followed the fdcpa. All you do is ask for letters, get the letters, get an attorney and run in the corner and hide. Probably the same way you did in high school. Teacher, teacher, teacher, help me!
- Caller: just pay your bills and take responsibility
- yef replies to fdcpaYour point is moot because these posters here probably have no debt, and the criminals calling have no legal right to collect it. Collection agencies that actually follow the FDCPA have very few comments/complaints on this website. Go back to your slimy boiler room and keep trying your scams. This website must be making it harder for you. Good.
- DawnHave been receiving calls from these people for about a month now. Got one today from Matt Morgan, stating if I didn't call him back today, charges would be filed. I'm not calling him back. If I really owe them money, wouldn't I have received something in the mail about it? This is the first time I'm hearing about this and they say it's from something back in 2008.. Why did it take them so long to get in touch with me then? Over 4 years and this is the first time I'm hearing about it? We'll see if anything happens..
