And the fact that you are not a collector,  and you owe no debts,  and no collectors or scammers ever call your phone,  and yet,  somehow you found your way to this board,  under this 855 number,  defending the collectors/scammers like it was your mother's virtue.  Now,  I have to admire a man like that!  I'm guessing that it was devine guidance that brought you here,   JOEEEE!!  Hang in there man...I'm rooting for you!

The Nigerians are rapidly returning to their ghettoes. The Indians have been outed and are starting to get desperate. It's time to move on and a scam is a scam.
Now poor, pathetic Joseph will ask "So what? Who the [***] are you?". To which I'll be more than happy to respond; We are Scambaiters Joey! Google it you miserable toad. We number in the thousands. With the help of sites like this we can cripple organizations that make yours look laughable. Piss me off Joe!  Respond with more of your illiterate babble. We'll be more than happy to let your boss know that you're responsible for the onslaught.
Debt Collectors have a job to do. There are laws that apply to how they do it. Done in accordance to those laws, it must be condoned. It's when they step outside the lines that it becomes criminal. Fraudulent bill collectors are Scammers. Simple as that.

The Federal Trade Commission has issued a warning for consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors.  It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Some times a fake collector may even have some of your personal information,  like bank account number.  A caller may be a fake debt collector if he:

  Is seeking payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize.
  Refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number.
  asks you for personal financial or sensititve information
  Exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying,  such as threatening to have you arrested or to
    report you to law enforcement agencies and even serving papers or warrants for your arrest.

If you think that a caller is a fake debt collector:

  Ask for his name, company, street address, and telephone number.  Tell the caller that you refuse to
     discuss any debt until you get a written "Validation Notice"  That notice must include the amount of the debt,  the name of the original creditor that you are alleged to owe, and your rights under the Federal Fair
Debt Collection Practices Act.  The caller has 5 days from his first contact with you to provide this information in writing and you have 30 days to dispute it.  If the caller refuses to provide any of the information given here,   do not pay the debt.  If you do pay,  then they may make up another debt in the future and try to get more money from you.

Stop speaking to the caller.  If you have the callers address, send a certified cease and desist letter with return signature requested,  instructing him to terminate all telephone calling.  If he is a legitimate collector,  he will adhere to the law and  cease and make no further telephone contact with you.  If the caller continues to call he is illegal and most likely not a legitimate debt collector.

Never give the caller personal or financial information or any other sensitive information.  Never give out or confirm information like your bank accout number,  cc numbers,  and most definately any part of your SS number (Including the last 4)

Scam artist will use this information to commit identity theft, charge your existing credit cards, open new credit cards,  checking accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.

Never Ever give any information out to any caller that is unknown to you,  regardless of what your caller ID says or what they tell you.  If it is legitimate,  they will eventually notify you in writing.

FYI.....Can you get Joey to verify that information?

Got a call from this number today.......they could not even say my correct last name........i'm shaking in my boots because of the call.  LOL

Oh the guy who called me was named Arnold Mayes.............
