I received a call from this number and 845-793-8944 within the same minute.  I missed the call and immediately called back and a message indicated- "This number is not in service-  calls recorded for quality."

I got a call from the number 855-393-8944 and it was an automated call that said the IRS has been trying to get a hold of me.  That the reason was that they were filing a lawsuit against me and that I was to call 206-317-1447 immediately to get more information.  I Googled the 206 number and it was a place in Washington state with plenty of complaints about the same type of call. One person actually called the 206 number and the man that answered had a thick non-american accent and when the person asked to speak to his supervisor the call was immediately disconnected. Many other complaintants listed the same base number with a different area code.
