- ShirleyI received a call that I was unable to answer and the message was almost threatening for someone I dont know. The name actually sounds made up to me.Their language was very aggressive as if to get them off the hook legally and if you had my address or my work place address then show up like any normal process server would why play games?
- CorieG| 2 repliesMy father received a call from "Mr. Marshall" claiming that he was trying to get in touch with me in order to serve me some papers. My dad refused to give him my phone number and he got a bit snippy with my dad. He took the number and they gave this number so I called back. "Mr. Marshall" was quite direct that I needed to pay a dept from a payday loan from 2007 immediately because if I didn't I would go to court and could face fines and even jail time. He stated that they had people out to serve papers to my dad and sister (my other "reference") and that if either of them signed the papers, it was sealing my fate and the court date would be set. I later asked him if there was a court date and he ran around the question, eventually getting angry with me for asking so many questions. He threatened that the full amount was over $2,000 but if I paid it today I could pay the original loan amount plus legal fees, taking it down to $619. I was almost tempted to pay it because I've been working on my credit. I was put on hold MANY times. At one point I let him know I would need it in writing that if I paid that amount, my debt would be paid in full. I was transfered to the supervisor "Daniel Davies". He sent me an agreement via email. It pretty much looked like someone typed a bunch of stuff up, with account numbers and various amounts, but at the top there was a logo for "Unified Asset Solutions, LLC". I told them I'd have to go to the bank and transfer from my savings bank to a different bank where I had my checking and they went into a frenzy. They let me know their office was closing in a half hour. I told them I couldn't guarantee I'd be back in a half hour but I'd try. I told them I could call them in the morning or they could call me so we could take care of it then, but he offered to see if someone could stay late to take my payment. He also offered that I call from my car or right from the bank. I got off the phone and they called back two minutes later. His supervisor let him know that you can make online transfers from bank to bank. At this point there was just too much shady stuff. I wasted enough time that by the time he realized I HAD to physically go to the bank to do the transaction, he approved for it to be held until tomorrow. Meanwhile, I did a bunch of research online. Seems like this has happened to lots of folks. There's plenty of articles on the Better Business Bureau site about it. It was part of a mass identity theft. They'll have your personal info, they had the names and numbers of all the references I normally use, my full social security number, address. Scary! BEWARE!!! Ask for official documentation and don't verify any banking/credit card info!!

- jessi got a call about a week and a half ago that someone by the name jeny gomez who was an attorney was she told me she is going to my work to serve me with papers she than said if i had any questions to call this number 855-411-4649 with a file number. well i never cld i just let it pass and when this person called it said private caller on the caller id. Then the following day same attorney lady called to tell me since she did not received a call to stop the claim that she will be going to my work that afternoon to serve me papers, than she would go to my residence. So this scared me and i called the number to see what this was about. I gave them my claim number and she said it was about a loan that i had not paid on 2005 and that it was a good thing i was not set a court date yet. She said if i didnt take care of this matter now that i will go to court and have to pay about 6000.00 total for the loan and court cost. she said my original loan amount was 200.00 but with all the late fees i can pay 829.00. i told her i only had 100.00 on me at that time and we worked out a payment arrangement. But of course they wanted all the money asap. I told her im right now im umemployed and only receiving umemployment. she said well i need to pay this or i will go to court and be charged theft by check. Now i was scared so i made payment arrangements when i get my next employment ck i was going to give them the whole ck. Im right now stressing because i have a car and rent to pay and im a single parent. Is this legal can this company really sent me to court i need some advise i feel like they are scamming me into paying them. I know i did mess up back in 2005 not paying them and i want to fix my loan but i just cant pay them the way they are threatening me to. I need some advice.

- angie replies to CorieG| 1 replythanks for the info.....i just had this same call the other day some guy saying he was a private courier and that 855-411-4649 number was the one i was supposedly suppose to contact. i attempted to but got some automated system so i hung up and never called back.
- Naomi replies to angieSame here! They do not say who they really are. They left a message stating that they are coming to my house at 9:00pm E.S.T
- Katy in KatyThis number 855-411-4649 called my sister and she texted me what they said to her. They told her they were hauling me to court due to an unpaid debt. Both of us are paralegals by trade. I called the number, was placed on hold twice. When I finally got a person on the line she said some company name and that they were a collection group, that the attorneys there "invest" in bad debts and collect them. She asked for my ssn, I told her i would not confirm that. She said she couldn't tell me anything. I said "ok, if you need to contact me, send something in writing". She said, "We're taking this to litigation, best of luck to you" in a very sarcastic tone. I said "best of luck to you, too" and she hung up on me. This is a part of an identity theft ring. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY OF YOUR INFO. She wouldn't even tell me what type of "debt" it was or who originally held it. Completely bogus.

- KelsyGot a call from a "withheld" number on my cell phone, stated his name was Brian. I was left a message saying they would be serving me papers "tomorrow" regarding some file number and that I needed to call this number 855-411-4649. Called again the next day, left me another message saying he was in my area and would be arriving to my job/home within the next couple of hours. Left the same call back number and file number, did not state what the debt was for, then called me AT WORK. Left a message with my supervisor saying the same thing, that they will be arriving to my job within a few hours, but if I didn't want them to come to my job I should call the 855-411-4649 number. This is not the first call I've gotten from them, I continue to ignore them, they keep calling back. I've reported them to my HR department but they can't really do anything. I was told by my job to just ignore the calls. I even contacted a lawyer, who told me to pretty much ignore them as well. Them calling me at work and telling me they're going to come to my job, my home really gets under my skin. It scares me because I don't know who these people are and they're threatening. One of the other times I actually did call the number back to see who they were and what the debt was for, the guy kept interuppting me and actually pushing phone buttons in my ear whenever I would try to speak, I finally just hung up and realized then that it was some type of scam. I'm so happy I came upon this page to see that others have gone through this too. Do any of you have any ideas on what to do? Clearly if they're on the BBB site nothing can be done and they clearly dont care. But any ideas on what to do?

- jaynie69Yep just got a call from "Josh" the COURIER!!! Stating the exact same BS, he's been trying to get a hold of me for 2 weeks now and asked if I was in CT and if I would be in CT 2moro so he could meet me to give me some documents that require my signature - I (of course) asked what are the documents and 'Josh' said that he did not have that info but these people at 855-411-4649 need to speak to me asap. I called the number asked their company name which "Anthony" told me was Unified Assets and then I hung up. I immediately looked the name up on web and found sooooo many 'scam' warnings about this company. I too, had some pay day loans a few years back and this is how they get all of our information. I recall a couple years ago I was getting phone calls from men and woman with Indian accents stating that I need to pay my debt or I would be in BIG trouble and may GOD be with me and they wished me the best of luck. It was the exact same scripted/rehearsed statement from each person who called me, it was really pathetic. They said if I did not pay immediately I was being summoned to court. Well, I never paid and guess what....I never had to go to court!!!!!! Don't worry about these scam artists, have some fun with them and call their bluff by asking all kinds of questions and tell them your lawyer needs to speak to them and ask them for a direct line or supervisors name and number, that will change their 'tune'!!!! LOL

- Lisa MengucciI received a call yesterday & today from a guy who was from legal courier saying he had received a file with my SSN# on it. He said that has legal documents pertaining to my court appearance and that he put himself on his schedule to come to my residence on 11/23 @ 4PM. I was to be available with proper ID. If I had any questions to call 855-376-7119 & gave me a case # to reference. I he said to consider myself served. I didn't answer either call as they came up as blocked & he left 2 voice mails. I have not called him back.

- Victimized&TiredI received several calls from this number 8552096004 under "unknown." This person has called my family members, and former place of employment. The person keeps giving her name but not who she works for and what the debt is for. Just like many of the previous posts, she says I will be served on a particular date and I need to be available to receive the papers. I refuse to call back because the person keeps making the threatening calls. If you were going to serve me, serve me. This scare method is crazy.
