They called me andbsaid something about a claim and taking action

First called from Private number saying they were processing to send me papers when I questioned they gave me the 8554133980 and a case id, call and get Mike who is the only guy that answers tells me is working a civil judgement against me for a car loan from 2008 when I questioned him he got rude told me he worked for Licari Associates corp office in Kansas  and that the debt buyer is Harbourside Financial (also linked to scams) he wanted to know when he could serve me the papers but also said he mailed them to me last month (which I didn't get) I questioned why Licari Associates was not found he said they aren't a publicized mediation group I also asked who the atty was working the case he said one wont be assigned until I am served, then coached me on how debts work (uhh Dummy I work in the industry) when I said I was getting an attorney he said have them call me and he is putting a cease and desist on my number .. 1hr later another number 4048560999 calls and a vm is left for me same guys voice for Fiber Mediation saying same thing he did "a civil claim" will be filing a CFPB and AG complaint

Left voicemail to say they called about a "claim" and that if I didn't respond with verification within 24 hours there would be action filed. I have no claim pending and no reason to believe this is true. Most companies would not leave a message with this level of detail but no 'real' information on your voicemail for anyone to hear.  I wonder how they got my name and number. Company name was not provided.

Same like everyone else claim I have a civil action pending all my cars have been paid off so no clue what he's talking about will not be responding at all.

Called for a person with similar name, but not mine. We’re going to move forward with legal “complaint” if they didn’t hear back from me (no timeframe given). Pretty sure that isn’t legal. But anyway, they supplied the 855-413-3980 number and a file reference number.  Sounds suspicious, but I have had my identity stolen. So I’m upset and don’t know what to do.  Called an attorney and he said you can’t do anything over the phone. Wait til I get something in writing.  Likely this is a debt collection attempt. But if they had the wrong name, it could be a phishing scam. Don’t engage them. Let them file the complaint, if there even will be one.  Caller named Skyler Moore gave no business name, just referenced “the Office”.  No caller ID came up on my phone.

A guy who identified himself as Nick Reed said he was handling a complaint filed with his office and left a case number to reference.  The goof is that the person the complaint was supposedly filed against was my ex-husband whom I divorced in 1987.  I don't even know how Nick, if that really is his name, linked him to me and my phone number (only 3 years old) after 30+ years of my not seeing or talking to the ex.

Sklyer just called me and one of my jobs I had for 6 yrs was dealing with legal claims/lawsuits. I pounded her with questions she keep saying the say thing over and over that I needed to contact a number with a case number to get information. I said no and that this was dumb and no legal claims work this way. She told me her companies name was “Document Delivery Services”. Refused to give any company info for her protection. Which doesn’t make any sense; if you work for a document delivery company you want people to know about you. I said that’s a generic name and this is a debt collection adept that is illegal. I asked what the FTSPA would say, she had no response other that they’re just the delivery service. I finally said no delivery service would call without any caller ID and hung up. She called right back (which is not legal because it’s harrasment). Left a VM leaving the same P# listed above 855-413-3980 then the  case ID. SCAM!!!!
So no matter if you hang up when they call you, Sklyer will just call back and still leave the details on your voicemail.

Jessica Cruz with a filing office about failed delivery of time sensitive information. gave this number to call back and a file number. Very vague and most likely a scam. This is not the first time I have had a call like this. They called my work which is very odd. The first time I did call the number back and it was a debt collection company (so they said) trying to collect a debt from back in 2003.

As others have stated, I too, got a call on my cell phone from this number and they said it was Jessica Cruz, and there was a grievance against me.  She left a claim number and told me to call with that number.  I  was pretty upset as she had my name.  I was also upset that my cell phone carrier, AT &T, no longer has a feature that prevents callers without phone number to get thru.  Reading other similar instances gives me some comfort.

I received an unknown caller the other day leaving a voice mail for me looking for my sister and referenced a case number. My sister doesn't give out my name or number. Now she called them to find out they said they were from a litigation service named Edwards & Assiciates out of Southern California saying this supposed citation was from 2000. I didn't have this number back then and I didn't have my married name back then. I was pissed so I blocked my phone number and called back asking how they got my information they actually told me that I was hurting her case and I was harassing them. I informed them to remove my info and if they didn't I would file harassment charges against them. I knew they were scammers. Then the very next day I get another unknown caller that I accidentally answered and they asked for my name but a name I hadn't used since 2002. Unfortunately unknown number can't be blocked I am so tired of all these scam calls if it's not 1 scam it's another. My number has remained private so how these [***] get a hold of it I find annoying am about ready to change my number. Why isn't something being done about this [***]???

I am sure they have their ways, but one of which is when you called them back.  You see you cannot block your number when calling a toll free number back (855 is a toll free number).  I do not know what you mean by "citation".  That would indicate a summary offense such as a traffic violation or some other minor crime.

There is no corporation by that name in Kansas as per the Dept. of State.  Fiber Mediation is a new criminal enterprise pretending to be a debt collector.  We have not found them yet, but they will make a mistake at some point, all criminals do.

I received a call from Lawson & Associates..(855) 413-3980...A man named James Lawson stated I owed an outstanding debt to Wells Fargo Bank. Strange..Ive been banking with them for years!! He stated that a statement was  sent to my home...Which he had the wrong address! He was also calling me by my maiden name..A name that I haven't used in 20yrs!!!  He stated if I didn't pay the debt today he would sue me. Scared the crap out of me at first!! I told him let me call my husband and I will figure it out..He gave me a direct number of (909) 218-3195...I called my bank..Wells Fargo...NO PROBLEMS WITH ANY OF MY ACCOUNTS!!! They researched the numbers I had and Wells Fargo said this is a SCAM!!!

Interesting.  Then they are in California, but we have a whole bunch of names for this outfit.  This is an extortion plot by criminals pretending to actually be somebody other than the crooks they really are.

I kid you not...As soon as I was done, I received ANOTHER call from a Mike Miller saying he was with "The Firm"...Gave the same numbers as listed above....He left a case number and said I had 24 hours to call him back or they would proceed with legal stuff...Yes..He used the word "stuff"....Bring it on!!!

Same call -- said he was a private Courier that was scheduled to serve me papers tomorrow morning was I going to be available?   When I said nope, I don't know who you are or what you are talking about he gave me a case number???  and a phone number linked to Lawson and Associates - a litigation firm?   VERY RUDE receptionist (male).

Jessica Cruz left message stating someone filed a claim against me. Papers will be mailed to my address. Claim #MCA17-04 & request a call back # 844 272-0570. Called #...no answer...no vm. If all is true Jessica Cruz  would   know my correct name.

Pretty sure ive been scanned a cpl times....silly me....however anybody aware if Lawson and Associates in cali is legit and or if they have heard of the NAMG in new york?
