I got a call from this number. They claimed that I have an old checking account that has a negative balance that is nine years old. That they have up to ten years to collect. It is a outrageous balance. That they want me to pay. Gave me two days to get a payment in. Or they are going to come and put me into jail. That they can garnish it out of my check. I have paid a very little to be able to get paperwork from them to carry to my local police station to have them to check it out.

Is this a fraud caller or is there a real reason for the call?

Good chance the number's been spoofed and I highly doubt the police can do anything. From your first post I can tell the caller was a scammer: They're making a claim you probably can't verify after 9 years, they're saying they're going to come and put you in jail (that's a huge red flag; Debt is CIVIL, you canNOT be arrested for debt)

I have been receiving calls from this number as well, says name is Daniel Rickter with some attorneys office, claiming they're trying to serve me with a summons for court at my residence and work place. Even tried calling my family members.
