i got served with a sc-100 file # 2008RF211 at home to appear in cuyahoga  Court of Appeals Of Ohio, Eighth Appellate District over my bill i left unpaid i thought it was a scam until i got served with these docs over my unpaid debt, i had a rough last 2 years loosing my home

i did a little research on the # and info after i was going to be served and i came back with this info i hope it is helpful ???

I just got out of court and the judge wouldnt even listen to why I couldnt pay. They are now going to place a garnishment on my wages, does any one know how to stop a garnishment without quitting my job?

1. nicholas b. - why are they taking you to small claims court? and then you say it was the appeals court.. interesting.. Small claims will not do a garnishment.

4. Gail - and were did you find that info? Funny you listed the person name as R. Lewis.. I pulled up the address and it is a LAw Firm but they do not do collections. they are Real Estate lawyers.. and there is no R. Lewis that works there..

Property Leins?? who said this was for credit cards?? no one stated what tyoe of "debt" they are supposedly trying to collect. I have seen scammers trying to collect the following fake debts:

Toll for toll roads
Payday lenders
NSF check
Credit cards
Electric bills
IRS bills

They will not stop preying on peoples (not ppls) fears. We need to strong and educate each other!!

Well the poor smuck has never called me. I was just reading the other comments on here and saw someone was all butt hurt about something so I clicked on it and started reading and thought I would include my two cents for grins and giggles.

I feel sorry for those who cant pay their bills because or the loss of a job and God knows in this day and age jobs are not out there like they were 15 years ago. It seems like ever since September 11th everything has gone down hill and keeps going down hill. It’s an endless cycle of down.

Collection agency have no heart and are paid not to give a flying crap about what someone might be going threw. The don’t care if you have food on the table for your children, they don’t care if your child is going to bed cold because you cant afford to run the heat. All they care about is money,money,money.

Yes some took the credit card or loan to do whatever it was they wanted to do and then laid off or fired and can’t find a job to make ends meet. Some took the credit card or loan with never having the initiation of paying it back. There is a difference in collection money from someone and saying “hey, I understand times are hard. If you can only afford to send us $20.00 a month, well that’s better than nothing does. Let us help you and we’ll get this taken care of.” NOPE all they say is crap to make someone feel worse about them than you already do. It’s all about “you owe us, you’re a loser, we’re going to take you to court. Don’t worry,..we’ll get our money one way on another.

Then to top it all off they say we’re here to “HELP YOU”,…… REALLY??? Charging someone 19% to 21% interest and a $35.00 late fee and a $40.00 over the limit fee is NOT “helping me” in anyway! That $75.00 could have been a weeks worth of food or heat for a month. But oh yes,.. “you’re here to help me” please no,..I’m not hungry anymore from the line of crap you just fed me. You don’t know how hard someone might have it until you’ve been there, until you’ve gone without. You’ve not been able to pay a bill and have someone call you and treat you like crap and belittle you. Please charge me out the crapper in fees because that’s going to make thing’s sooo much better.

Maybe if collectors/collection agencies/Credit card companies made it a little easier to pay stuff with out ungodly high interest and jacked up fees we could pay stuff back sooner and easier.  NOPE the big CEO needs to take 15 of his best friends on that cruse next spring and drive around town in his fancy car. Lets  make sure he has the finer things in life. No, No,.. You take care of you and all the people who are struggling to make ends meet will be fine. Just please make sure you throw that box my way from your new high-end fridge so my kid’s can be kept out of the snow and wind.
