Left a recording.  I contacted telling then not to contact me again.  Looking for Elmelyn Leido.

Left message saying the call was from Ms. Makon from the legal department of CN & Associates. She said if I didn't contact her they would have no option but to "serve me at my place of employment." Totally sounded like a scare tactic. Probably a scam.

Undoubtedly a scam!
If it was for real, you would NOT have gotten a call from the apparent plaintiff. Furthermore, the plaintiff doesn't have any control over how you are served papers by the court.
Moreover, if it's for real, you sure don't want to talk to a stranger from the opposition on telephone! You would talk to your own lawyer, AFTER you're notified by the court.

Do absolutely nothing and don't worry about this scare tactic.

Simply call the local courthouse on Monday and ask them if your name is listed as a defendant in any civil proceedings. Also ask them who may legally serve you so that you know for the future. Then report these people to the ftc, the cfpb, and your state attorney general.

it showed up as being a restricted number and then it showed up as the person who they was looking for on the caller ID so if it's a legitimate business I hope somebody reports them spoofing
