First, they called me from a 412 number and told me that I was served that the voicemail was sufficient enough to have me served, but I couldn’t understand exactly what they were saying because of the foreign language. So I called back and then I get a different person all the way in California named Kevin Segalla (spelling could be wrong). He was very abrasive very rude very condescending very ignorant that had. All my information which was very scary. Trying to tell me that I owe a debt from 2008 when I had my bankruptcy and told me that it was not included. I said that’s completely impossible because I didn’t have a credit card then. And the credit card company that they’re speaking of, I have more than one credit card through them now. He was telling me it was almost $3000 and that it would be $10,000 and that I was gonna be served in the county I lived in and blah blah blah had me literally in tears and sick.. Upon investigation, I realize the address that they gave me or that this Kevin gave me is a city national Bank in California and the letter they sent me Hemsworth and associates does not exist. The Lauren Thorne. That supposedly a mediator is not. I am also going to contact HSBC in Capital One to make sure. But it wouldn’t make sense for me to have a number of credit cards through them if I didn’t pay a past debt. They did not even have the correct address for me and tried telling me that they sent me something three months ago. Tried to pressure me into making an almost $3000 payment and told me that he was gonna go over and talk to his attorney said he has there and let them know that I did not get anything in the mail and blah blah blah and when he put me on hold, something didn’t feel right because he said my name is Kevin and then put me on hold when I asked him from where. At any rate, this still has me sick today and terrified as they have some of my information and they’re saying that I’m gonna be subpoenaed and all this other stuff and they’ll give me a date and time and blah blah blah. I know that this is a scam there are people everywhere on the Internet, saying these people are doing this as of December of last year to a lot of people.

SCAM. Make sure when the 1st guy calls from a local prefix and gives you a case number as he stumbles to us broken English scare tactics about you have an hour then changes to a half hour or you will miss your court date, ect... you tell him you think its a scam. He will pull out a reverse uno card and try to say it is opposite of a scam ect.. Once you call "Hemsworth & Associates" make sure you sound scared and then tell them you googled and it has been reported as a scam. He will then get mad and almost line for line repeat what the last guy said. Its nice to get them flustered. Tell them that you are only 40 something and that you hope it works on the older ppl, have a nice day and hang up.

I just got off the phone with Kevin and its scary he has my information. At first a lady told me it was about property damage and I couldn't talk with her. When I called back as I thought it was a real call Kevin answered saying I needed to get a lawyer as they contacted me by mail twice December 3034 and of course they never did. I ended the call by hanging up.

They contacted me today. First a phone number called me from 786-434-1924, his name said was Paul Adams. He said he was supposed to deliver an envelope and I will miss the Court date. That this is about Miami Dade County Court. He gave me a case number. He said he was calling on behalf of "Hemsworth & Associates" and he was a contractor delivery guy for them. He rushed saying that I had one hour to contact the phone number 855-430-2311 , then he said he will hold the delivery for 30 minutes or so. When I call the phone number for "Hemsworth & Associates" I had my attorney on the other line. When my attorney spoke they immediately put me on hold forever. When I call from a different phone number they ask me for the case number and never put me on hold, but when my attorney is on the call they put os on hold immediately. I googled online and those phone numbers have been reported as scam. The "delivery" guy had my complete full address and everything, full name as well.

Call came in from 817-203-6839. The VM (VoiceMail) referenced "Legal Dept." and said to call 855-430-2311. I called and gave no information about me. They identified themselves as Hemsworth and Assoc. Law Firm. When then asked what city they were located in, they hung up.

This just happened to me today. They are saying my husband owes on a credit card that was not discharged in our Bankruptcy in 2008.  AZ has a statue of limitation and he is threatening to put a lean on our house and garnish my husband's wages if we do not settle and if it goes to court. I was sick to my stomach and it makes me nervous!

I received a call today from a "Process Server" asking if my husband would be home within the next hour and I told them no so they gave me a number to call. 844-649-1385. I called and spoke to a very aggressive gentleman who scared me! He said that my husband had a card from 2008 (Providian) that did not go through our bankruptcy that they have been trying to contact us and have sent several letters and that we are ignoring him. I told him that I have had calls about this card before and they advised it WAS discharged in our bankruptcy so I was not ignoring it. It had been taken care of. He told me that we owed almost 8k and if we did not settle it would go to court and that we could owe over 18k after paying court fees and they would put a lien on our house and garnish my husband's checks.

I requested they send me the letter they mailed me and he did. I did some research on Hemsworth and Associates which led me here. He gave me until tomorrow to call to pay the 2k and they would forgive the remainder of the debt and if I don't they will take us to court for litigation,  I hope I am doing the right thing by not paying them this money.
