- mary ready| 2 repliesPhone rang once, went into voice mail. Pleasant woman's voice says I'm to call this number 24/7 to answer health Questions about my Medicare plan. Says government requires these questions be answered. My caller ID shows the caller at Street Beat 1-612-884-6202.

- Mike-in-MD replies to mary ready| 1 replyNot sure if this is the correct number for someone calling about Medicare but indeed if you have recently signed up for Medicare there are a series of simple questions about other coverages that you need to answer. You should have received a letter in the mail with information about this request along with instructions on how to go online and create a MyMedicare account to answer these questions and manage your benefits. If in doubt or you did not receive a mailed notification and you are a Medicare recipient, you can call your local office or the number on your Medicare card to see if the call was legit. We just went through this with my wife who received a call from a different number that we did not answer. Searching on that other number showed it was a call on behalf of Medicare which reminded us that we had not yet gone online to answer the questions. We did that and no further calls about Medicare (so far).

The number, 855-441-0445 was not the # on my caller id.????
Not about to call them, or answer any questions..(Hard to trust anyone these days:)
To the best of my knowledge, I have not rec'd any advance info from Medicare..
Will call Medicare # on my card to verify.
Thanks to all, for info re; this. - PaulAutomated calls from United Healthcare. "Good Morning, I am calling from United Healthcare with a message for (my wife's name in computer generated voice)....to ask you some important health and wellness questions that Medicare requires us to complete...."
The number given to call back and answer the questions was 855-441-0445. The number called from was 612-836-5051.
The message also said to if there were "questions about this call to call the customer service phone number on the back of your health plan member ID card"
Now the only problems is she is not a United HealthCare member nor Medicare eligible.
No one at United HealthCare nor Medicare could explain why she is getting these phone calls.
We spoke with 5 different people at United HealthCare. Today we asked to be put on their "Do Not Call List". We are already on the Federal DNC list.- Caller: United HealthCare
- TimGot the same calls, they left the same message, "need to ask some questions as required by law", I must have gotten at least 6 or more of these calls over the last few months and returned none of them. They finally left a message saying that I would receive the questions by mail, which never came. A couple of weeks after the "final attempt to reach me" call, I got another of the same call, which I also ignored. So far it has been a few weeks and no new calls leaving this #.

- wayneclaims to be from UNC and are required to call once a year to answer very basic health questions. Asked nothing personal or suspicious but UHC has no idea who they are and did not have my number on file but did have my wifes which I DELETED 2 DAYS AGO.
