Some want-a-be scambaiters have dredged up a thread that has been dormant for 4 years and are now spamming fake reports of an imaginary email every couple of minutes using different names and thinking that they can get away with it because the mods here are not smart enough to notice.

got an email with this number, but it fell into my spam folder... glad to see other people got BS from this number... now i'm sure it belongs in spam.

I just got an email saying I was approved for a hardship loan and to call 855-455-5177 from a Carmela Merlini

Just received an email from "Selby Berthoff" of the "Financial Assistance Department" claiming they tried reaching me and didn't hear back... telling me to give them a call. The bottom of the email says they're "Advertising Services, PO Box 249 #57223, Alberquerque, NM 87103" saying they're a marketing company. This shows they don't check their emails haha

Got a message from this email address Sterling Stefansson <erikhalunnony@hotmail.com>, about a pre-approved "Hardship Program" and asking to call them at this number

Same as other comments: I got email about being approved for a Hardship Program, which I definitely did not apply for, and to call back at this number. The creepy thing about this email to set it apart from other spam email is that they knew my name as well.

Received a text from "Beverly Englesberg" with the "Financial Assistance Department" telling me I was pre-approved for the Hardship Program. Never requested this.

Got an email from Hodge Landucci with the Financial Assistance Department telling me I'm pre-approved  for their Hardship program and to give him a call.

I got the same email telling me to call this number to discuss the Hardship Program. I am glad to see that this is a known scam and I can move it to spam.

Received email similar to the one Jovan received.

Same as above. Told me I was approved for a hardship loan. They did it by email and by phone.

Said I was approved for financial hardship. Never applied for any help.
