- Okie83| 1 replyThey call and call and call. Every day, multiple times, starting at 8 am (also on Sundays). This is a business phone, so I am required to answer. No-one ever answers.... just silence on their side. This is getting extremely annoying. I have no idea who it is. They need to stop bothering us!

- Caller: AMEX
- Anna| 2 repliesHere's the deal on this number: It's a collection agency that bought up old debts from companies for pennies on the dollar and they are trying to collect what they can. It really isn't Wells Fargo....they are using that name. We think it is bc they bought WF old debts.
I started getting them too. They never leave a message. I find that extremely strange. So, I googled the number and that's what I found. Everyone is having the same experience. A guy at the gym brought it up the other day saying exactly what I just said...and what everyone else is saying on these message boards.
I have never had an account of any kind with Wells Fargo. They called me 5 times a day. I finally blocked all their numbers. The block is only good for 90 days but it is better than being harassed. Would love to be able to do something about this but not sure what. Hopefully, they will make the news and be forced to stop. This has to be illegal.- Caller: Wells Fargo
- Call type: Debt collector

- PudgeWhoever they are, NEVER give payment over the phone. Hang up and call your bank or CC company if this is an account you've actually had. NEVER give any information or acknowledge debt on the phone. This is not Wells Fargo or any other known banking or credit company. It is a debt collector with no information except a name and phone number. Tell them to send written proof of the debt. DO NOT give them an address. If it's a valid debt they have your address. Most likely the statute of limitations has long passed on any debt you might have owed and they are trying to "reset" the clock by having you acknowledge the debt on the phone. DON'T SAY ANYTHING other than to tell them to send you, via USPS, written proof of the debt. Then hang up and block the number.
