Doesn't matter if the number is legit or not, if the caller is a scammer spoofing the number. What matters is what the call was about. Common sense should tell a person to go ask Chase directly if they are the ones who called and not try figuring it out on a phone number look up site by asking "customer support" questions that only Chase can help with. Calling from a published number  is where you start, not from a suspected scammer number.

If you have an account with them, common sense tells most people to check their account right away and use the same contact methods they usually use.

No, that isn't what I said.  I said to call that bank up and to verify that the call that was made to you was "legit".  Big difference.

Well, I got this message, regarding about this on my Chase bank saying wire transfer asking for refund of $6000 that I don’t have but usually Chase would call us right or send us a email directly, but it was sent through my Chase whatever it’s called what type of email And same thing with JPM, I don’t know, and I don’t understand if this is a real number because I called it. It was blocked and then when I called it this morning it said the machine, and usually they verify that person and things I sat, but I don’t know. It sound like an Indian person. At first if they sound low and then they try to speak clearly as a regular person they asked about my bank card number to verify or something like that. So I’m kind of freaking out at the same time. I don’t know what to do.

So as I was reading the message when they sent me on my emergency messenger on Chase Bank app, whatever, JPM case number you know I was just reading it through and through over and over again and trying to figure it out and it tells you oh yeah you can send us through the Messeňger email that we sent you or call the treasury number to ask help and that’s what I did yesterday I called the number and all it was automatic and just said oh wow you can just go through the email that we sent you. We don’t have to go Pacific. And avoid conflict, blah blah blah…… so I repeatedly call it over. I wanna call this morning the same thing that happened and usually it should identify you usually put your card number or your account number and all that…… I would’ve thought Chase would actually call me about this wire transfer about $6000…. as I keep looking up at this website about this phone number. i’m reading all people‘s comments and things like that. People are probably right how they called Chase because I don’t think this number is real because when I called that number an Indian person answered at first it was very well and then they had to clear the voice to hear them. I don’t know where they’re coming from but I don’t know if this is fake or not. I don’t know please help me understand this because I’m not worried about it either. I don’t know why it feels like it’s a [***] scam, but who knows just let me know.

It was awfully early in the day to be that drunk.  You should learn to sober up before posting.
