Call from a Darren levy saying I am being sued for a breach of contract from a company mcri. I believe this is a scam to burn people out of there money. Be ware. Ask for written info before proceeding. They will not send anything and keep calling. Scammers!

this is a collection agency if they are leaving those types of messages.  leaving messages about a lawsuit on a voicemail is likely a breach of privacy laws in canada as anyone who has access to the voicemail in the home or work place will hear the message.  collection agencies are shameful!  

Are they from Canada ,or USA?

I live in Canada & received an automated call from 1 855 561 4509 for someone who does not live here threatening legal proceedings against them. Darren Levy? Dow & Leedy? Dowen Weedy? Sounds suspect. Is this a US area code? Toll Free?

I got a call today and this number is from the usa....

me 2...they pretended to be :LOCAL POLICE...On the message they left us, this is Canada...after doing research this is a SCAM...

They keep calling me about a debt, sounds phoney to me??

I keep getting calls from this number but do not leave a name. Sounds like a scam to me.

I received the same call today @ work, home and cell...who are they?

Recieved a call from that number saying they are going to sue for a unpaid debt. The company was National credit Recovery inc. I dont think they are legit?

Sounds like another tactic to get you to panic and call the number. They are trying to get you to drop a cheque in the mail.

Thease people call all the time!! So sick of it!

Threatening civil litigation (w/in 48 hrs) but no specifics. Typical scare tactics. Want the calls to stop? They are located in Mississauga, ON (http://www.ncri.ca/) - Contact them by phone, select legal department from menu, inform that you have received the call and consider any further communication by phone as unwanted and harassment and to remove your number. When asked if the call is for you or someone in your home, simply reply that NCR is phoning your phone, that the call is unwanted and that such use of robotic dialers for harassment is a serious legal offence in Canada. Ask them if they understand this then tell them you are recording the call. If they require any further communication tell them that it may be by mail

I agree with said fred, their scum of the earth and hide behind Intimidation and threats
they need to get real jobs, there a bunch of cowards and losers .

I also had had a couple of calls from this number,  the name Dan levy  just about gave me a heart attack with this scam!!! not joking!!

I received a call today from a dan levy and he wanted to talk with a mary brown about a breach of contract.  I called and it was the same guy on the phone. They have been calling my number for 3 years.  Finally got fed up and started looking online.

got a call from sombody by the name of Down Lady could have been Dan levy said i had 48 hours to contact them either me or legal councell said after that they will proceed whether im in court or not scared the [***] out of me this is not funny its illegal!!

We also received calls by auto-recording and then have been in touch with the number given (Darren Levy)  I did a search and he does not come up as a lawyer as stated, he also had info on possible previous debt loan.  My thinking is he is connected to a scam company online to do with buying a car!  I think info is given, the company does a credit check and then seeks any outstanding debts.  Call to harass and appear to be hired by the debtor but not giving real details or information.  Has anyone made an online request lately to "Canada Drives" to purchase a car?????? If so I think we should go to the Police and report fraud.
