Called my coworker and asked for me and gave a case number. Called as unknown but left a message for me to call back with this number. Is a scamm. Told her not to answer.

what did they do to your coworker I just received that same call and I got a case # also they had asked by my maiden name and my ex married name.

Received two of these calls now for my sister.  The first call the woman said she was calling with Court Advocates from a County my sister has never lived in.  The woman said I was listed as my sister's emergency contact and that charges had been filed against my sister in that County and she was trying to get the summons to my sister.  I called the 855 number left for my sister to call.  The phone was answered by an Alexander Tagert.  I asked him what company he works for, he said this is the prelitigation dept., he wouldn't give me a company name.  I told him I was calling because I received a call on behalf of my sister and was trying to figure out what was going on. He then put me on hold for about a minute and a half.  Then another gentleman picked up, he never said his name, he did sound suspiciously like Alexander Tagert at which time he told me he works for Northeastern Mediation and was trying to work out a plan with my sister to repay her debt before charges were filed.  Here is where my confusion lies ... were charges filed and a summons issued or not?  It was said to me both ways.

If you Google Northeastern Mediation there is no such company, there is a company called Northeast Mediation out of New York but they are not a collection company.

I believe this to be a scam.

My husband and I both received calls to call this number and basically have been getting harassed for three months wish people would grow up they just keep changing numbers

A Angela Webber has called my place of employment to see if I worked here to serve me papers, I have also gotten a call from someone myself to tell me I would be served with papers either at my place of employment or my home and asked me if I lived at the address. I didn't answer them and asked them what kind of company this was and they got really arrogant with me and was not business at all. I told the person on the phone I would have my attorney to contact them and she said, good because you're gonna need one. So what do I do about this, I know I owe some debt, but at this time I can't afford to make payments but I could lose my job with them calling like this.

Is a scam hang up on them don't fall for it called Feds they are investigating it

I'm getting these calls also. Same stuff everyone else is dealing with.

My daughter received a call from them this morning.  She called me crying saying that her husband owed $1001.01. They gave a case number and agent name, ID and extension.  They told her that they had been to her previous address to arrest him.  They told her that if a parent could make the payment in full today using a debit card they could take $200 off.  (RED FLAG!)  Luckily, you fine folks have already dealt with these [***] and I was able to calm her down.

Call saying I owe a debt and if I don't contact them today I would be serve on my job or address,I asked for email for document and they said they were gonna send it ,they never sent the email said the lady who does the email is not here today she'll be back in the next ..um a email takes place at the snap of your finger ,so y do you need someone else to send email any one can send a email ijs......sounds like and smells like a scam to me...

FYI...emails are not considered to be official notification of debt AND you are not warned if a summons is coming.

A message was left on my ext. from supposedly Marshall Tillman regarding a previous employee, well he didn't know she no longer worked here, wanting to talk to her to set up a time to serve papers and wanting a call back especially if she didn't work here anymore. He claimed he was from the Marshall serve, well I have never know them to call you and tell you they are going to serve you papers. Well he is still waiting on a call back.

Same experience at my work...throwing threats around, something about a case number for Tarrant County...there is no such company as NERG Group.  Another scam.  Ignore all phone calls,  I even blocked the number, and they are still getting thru on my mobile number.

I just received my second call from the infamous 855 number on my answering  machine.  The guy said his name was agent Moore and that charges had been filed against me and that he needs to locate me at my home address or work location to pick me up.   He then said if I had any questions or concerns to call the 855 590 5105 number.  Instead I called another number - the non-emergency number for the local police department in my city.  I was told by the police officer that they had received other complaints and to ignore them, do not call them back, and they will eventually stop.  The police officer said this is a SCAM.

got the same message but i have been harrassed for years so i ignore and if they call anyone i know i tell them the same.  these scammers have no life.

Just received a call from North Eastern Recovery..saying that writing bad checks. I have no outstanding pay day loan. All my loans have been paid. I told i do not have outstanding loan. Male person informed that uniform officer will be contacting and picking me up at my door. As anyone had this hsppen with this number: (855) 590-5105.  So tired of being harrassed. This person does not have any accent.

I have received a call from this number today but I am already prepared for this. I received a call a month or so ago regarding "papers being filed and being served and will go to jail". I don't owe any outstanding debt, and this company is a complete scam. I called the ACTUAL company by the name of Northeastern Mediation which is an ATTORNEY and they informed me to not speak to them and it was a scam. Well today I get a call from this number (different from the previous) and a guy answered by the name of Mr. Danielson. LIE. anyways, total scam, don't give them money, don't give them information. Oh and they called my husband and my mother. They had an OLD ADDRESS of mine from 5 years ago. I purchased LIFE LOCK when they called me previously because I was worried my identity had been compromised. I also filed a complaint with the Federal Government. They yelled at me and harassed me, they harassed my mom telling her that I owed 1200 and if she could pay it. BS. I don't have outstanding debt A*****LES. Dont give them money, don't give them information, file a complaint with as much information as you can and add them to your ignore call list.

An Agent Tillman called from a Courier Services stating I had legal actions against me and if I didn't call 855-615-7655 back which is not the number he called from I would be served.  It had a static background on the voice mail and did not mention who he was looking for. Sounds suspicious.

Short answer - real process  servers do not warn you.  They arrive unannounced.
