- dudeI got an answering machine message telling me to call this number regarding a civil suit with the county. Didn't say which county. They asked me to call Joseph cooper at aag x144. He said it was a final attempt and I should consider myself notified.
Uuuuh, from a cell phone in India? Ya, not so much. They had a butchered version of my correct name. Scamola.- Caller: aag

- Ready for Retirement| 2 repliesReceived a blocked call today @ 11:30 a.m., sent it to my voice mail. Played the message back & a female identified herself as Betty, directing me to call 855-666-1470 and left a File number for me to reference. Stated she would be out tomorrow to serve me if I didn't contact the attorney's office. Contacted the number, gave the file number, placed on hold with loud music blaring in my ear, then person identified herself as Marie Wellington stated she was with the Pre-Law Dept. and that I needed to give her the file number. Again, placed on hold with loud music blaring...when she returned she wanted me to give her the last four digits of my Social Security Number. I refused. I asked if she was a debt collector and her answer was "NO." I asked her to identify and spell the name of the Law Group. She stated "AAG." I asked her to tell me what the initials represented and she stated, ""Argos Alliance Group." She also stated that I would be served with court papers unless I cooperated. I then told her to remove my number from her call list and to never contact me again. She wouldn't answer my questions as to whom she was collecting for. She continued to deny she was with a collection agency. I asked her what in hell was Pre-Law.
This company will call you with threatening phrases, stating they are a process server and this is a legal matter and you are speaking with the Pre-Law Dept. for a group of Attorneys.
I am under the care of a couple of doctors. My vitals and blood sugar escalated because of this harrassing call.
Another call like this from them to me or any of my family members and friends and neighbors...and I'm as good as retired courtesy of this debt collection agency.- Caller: AAG aka Argos Alliance Group

- AmyI called them back because they said they were going to serve me papers if I didn't, so I have been working with them. I made a payment and had them send me a verification letter and the guy I talked to told me what the debt was for, but they are very unprofessional and I can't believe they are allowed to be considered a business. Usually, when they call it's a blocked number and I did answer one from 716-242-8657 and it was the same guy I have been working with. They are out of Amherst New York.

- not providingThis companys address is 495 Commerce Drive, Ste 2, Amherst, NY. 14228. I suggest not only sending a cease and desist letter but also reporting them to your State Attorney General. After politely asking them to remove my number from their dialer and them saying they had, I got 3 calls in a 10 minute span with voicemails left each time. When I demanded they stop they turned into thugs and tried to turnn it afound on me saying I couldn't prove anything. Well, I guess they don't understand cell phone bills are detailed. They record phone conversations. Good for them; it will only go to prove how unprofessional they are. The FTC is moving to put an end to this type of harassment but until then the best thing to do is use your states attorney general. They'll look into it and with enough complaints filed wii shut them dowm but in the meantime can at least put an end to them harassing you individually.

- cI received a blocked call to my cellphone. They left a message saying they would be by my residence/business for me to sign papers, to have picture id and a witness. Said to call 855-869-2158 with a case #. I called and it was Argos Alliance Group. Never heard of them. It is a SCAM! This is about the 6th call from so called "attorneys offices" in the last 3 months wanting a callback with the case # they left. One even wanted to know what city, county I lived in. Some have contacted my husband and said they were going to come tomorrow and throw him in jail. He told them to bring it on, he'd be waiting. None of these jokers have ever showed. What a SCAM!!

- kim| 1 replyI did receive a call beginning of this week and did nothing after reading all these post. today a local notiary showed up at my work and had me sign a court paper stating a case that was being put up in Maryland district court today in my name for a payday loan i had 3 years ago and never finished paying. I would not recommend not calling them back. I live in AA county in maryland, had never hear of them and usually send a letter when i get called. I remember getting a call a few months back about collections but I paid it no mind. Now i have a court date and a possible garnishment in my name.

- rivdan66| 1 replyI received a call from a "process server" that needed to tell me to be home tomorrow so she could serve me with papers. It was about a lawsuit. She gave me a number to call which I called I spoke to very belligerent woman to explain who told me that that she would try to resolve this matter but that I might already have a court date. Bull crap. The company was AAG. I called back to ask what is AAG was and what the acronym stood for and they hung up on me. It is a collection agency and not a law firm as they said.

- beck| 1 replyThis AGG company is incompetent and rude. I asked to have documentation of my debt before agreeing to pay any debt and have yet to receive any paperwork.
Even though I've tried working with them on payment they refuse to accept my amount of payment saying that it will take far to long to pay off.
Well do you want my money or not? Haven't heard from them yet since mid September.- Caller: AAG

- zimbino| 1 replyKim sounds like part of the scam. These people arent really who they say they are and no one is going to come and serve you papers.
They have a snapshot of your information from filling out online payday loan information and this information has been circulated to all the scam artists.
If by chance you do owe money to a payday loan company the company would have your information and send you documents. These scammers wont even do that because it is proof against them.
Just tell them you have been instructed by your lawyer and your State Attorney Generals office not to speak with them due to a pending federal court case against them and they should be hearing from them soon.
Turn the scam around on them. Make them sweat.- Caller: AAG
