The lady left a message stating they needed to deliver documents to my from a certain company

Did they ever deliver the documents? I was scammed before for debt collection, so I don't know who to trust when paying bills over the phone or online. Someone from this number is harassing my family only to find out that the money I paid to straighten a debt was fraud. I paid for 6 months and the same ppl tried to charge my account with a different company name all together.  My bank caught on to them.  I told the guy that I really believe this is a scam. I received no letter saying I paid my debt in full. I definitely will not pay anything if it doesn't come thru U.S. postal or any other delivery company. I didn't even no how I could recover my money. Smh I work too hard for someone to do me any kind of way. Be careful!

No documents were delivered because REAL process servers don't call in advance.
Any time someone calls claiming you owe them money, tell them to follow the law and MAIL you proof of the debt along with proof they're legally entitled to collect said debt. Real debt collectors will do this, knowing that a phone call is not a legal method of debt validation. Refusal to do so - for ANY reason - proves it's a scam.

This number wanted the address where my brother lived so they could send important documents. Here is the message that was left on my cellphone;

I have very important confidential documents interested George or or a daily rosa. I'm just needing to verify an address to schedule delivery of these documents either to your residence or to your place of employment. Please contact 8557440681 In reference to file number 10363-21. I phoned the 855# and they told me there office was JLJ Complaint Office.

Valid - are you kidding me?????  These are CROOKS violating the law by giving debt information to a third party - YOU!!  There are NO documents!

Keep calling looking for a relative.  I tell them he doesn't live here and the call right back

Just got this same exact call moments ago whet the exact same info. I'm no fool. We argued until I told him what he was doing was illegal and to never call again.

Sounds like the fake process server scam. As has previously been stated, real process servers don't call in advance.
