Calls up and says he is an attorney and would like me to leave his number on the doorstep of a house 3 houses down from my mine. Doesnt make sense. I ignored it.

This number called the neighbors house, stated he was trying to locate me and that I didn't respond to his messages. Identified himself as Anthony Martinez, left this number and asked the neighbor to give the info to me....said he was from California....never bothered to call the number back.....Weird since a reverse look up says the number is owned by Level 3 Communications...

UPDATE: Number 855-748-6724 was used by Alliance Solutions (not Level 3 as previously mentioned)...some scam debt collection deal.....they are all over the web as they have tried to con many people.......

It is currently used by the law offices of Michael k dupes. They called me the other day & were kind enough to save me a few thousand dollars on an outstanding citi loan I had defaulted on due to loss of employment

Dupes seems to be an appropriate name.    Jon,  I don't believe a word of your post.  No offense intended,  but I believe that you are just doing a little shilling here,  a little boosting,  kind of hedging your bets on turning some quick bucks.   Since you have already done business with these people and obviously know them to be good honest folks,   hows about posting their physical address,  their real phone number not the one owned by level 3 communications or the 855 nonsense, and all the information one might need to request written validation on any claims they may have against those that they are calling   Since it is a honest business,  they will have a regular local phone number for all of their local customers and a web sight.
If you would,  please provide all of the information that you can so that those who come here to get the scoop on what might be potential scammers or collections companys who use illegal tactics,  can defend themselves on the oft chance that they may not owe the debt.   thank you.

How nice for you. I save a great deal more, as in 100% of a debt claim, by raising disputes and defending my rights rather than just taking the word of strangers on the phone. I've found one agency "kind enough" to *send* me a few thousand dollars after I kindly named it a defendant and kindly pointed out the extremely unkind things it did to collect.

The law office of michael sipes is a rip off not only do they rip off consumers but there enployees. The owner does coke managers smoke weed.. some drink all day on the job.. I dont get it.. oh yeah ross got beat up and thrown down the strairs.. not the kinda company I want to give my money too. But here how it works unless u live in cali they cant really do anything to you except call every day and no thats not harassment.. so go ahead make my day.. bye

I received the call that was meant for someone else. These are scam collection companies. I work for a company that likes to prove this. Never talk to anyone that calls you about a debt and you have not received notification of this debt by mail. Even then, do not talk to people over the phone about your debts. They could be and most likely are scams. If you get on the phone with such people, never answer questions. Just repeat "send me all info to the address you have on file" and hang up. Do not confirm anything. Not even your name. This is if you find yourself on the phone since they will use a local number to get you to answer. Hang up as soon as they say what they are calling about. Refusal to speak to them will make them stop. I can't wait to call them back... It will be fun.
