Got called at work this morning from this number claiming to be Lee & Associates Law Firm collecting hospital debts on behalf of Community Health Systems. Claimed I owed a debt at a hospital I have never been to, but was more than willing to let me pay it off now instead of being sued. The address they had for me, I had not lived at in 20 years. I am sure it was a scam. Beware!!!

..is a mobile phone number in Kansas.  When I search for Lee and Associates, what comes up is a real estate brokerage.

Said they were from lee & assoc and I was going to be seved with papers from a hospital in my area from jan 2008. Her name was kimberly from a law office in california and said for info I had to confirm my info. I told her that I wasnt confirming anything this was probably a scam and she said that if she was trying to scam me she would already have tried to do so and she already had my address and ss# . She didnt try to get me to pay it she said I wpuld be served in the next couple of days . I told her go for it. I wasnt giving her any info and I hung up.

IF you were going to be sued, you would get lots and lots of letters.  Then a visit from a court-appointed process server - who does NOT give you a heads up of when he'll be visiting.  Never pay any caller unless they prove in writing (not email, fax, phone or text) that you owe money to them.
