I keep getting this as a text. It comes from rotating numbers.I'm just a gringo with a cell phone. No habla... I've texted an altos demand with no results. I'm not calling or texting them back. See below...

a female. Catalina Vega (Varga?), called from the law offices of SLO asking for my friend. She only spoke to me in Spanish and asked if I could relay the message to return the call, just like "Gringos" txt message. different extension and reference number and this was about documents

I've never given phone number to this company

This number called about a co-worker and would not give me information as to the reason for the call.  Gabriella uribe called. Any clue what for?

Keeps calling and leaving voicemails finally I answered and they said they were calling for my mom not knowing if I was her daughter or not didn't even have the same last name but said here's my number 8557771978 x327 kamila n have her call for some documents

These dame people keep calling me for a collection on someone I don't even know. I've asked them to stop calling me & to take me off the list but they keep harassing me. I've put them on auto reject but they call from a blocked number. Is there anything else I can do? I have good credit and I shouldn't be called for someone (who I don't even know) collection!

This is a collection company for "Curacao," an online company that sells electronics. Watch out for this shady company!  I made one payment to them in April and a week later they tried taking out the balance that I owed them from my bank without my permission or knowledge. I threatened to report and sue them and they stopped calling me. I was so mad! I cancelled the transaction, threatened to sue them and still havent paid them the balance even though I have the money now.

Why would you pay a debt collector when they haven't followed the letter of the law?


It is incumbent upon them under the law to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it, and that they have the legal right to collect it.  You are not obligated under the law to prove that you don’t owe or that it is paid.  

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

Somehow these jerks got my cell # and are hammering me with msgs to call this number.  Texts are coming from 760-257-6421.

They keep texting me from different numbers and I block them.  I don’t know this person and I have asked them to stop. Yet they won’t.

The only thing I found under that name is a Facebook page with no website, address or even a phone number on it.

Ditto..anything I have bought from them broke within days including a couch and they sell broken products..stopped making payments and they will never get another cent out of me..better business bureau needs to shut these scammers down!😠😠
