    my computer experiencing problems and it opens up a website by itself and telling me to call this # [ (855) 809-6230 ] . when i close this website, my computer begins to open another website telling me to download these application to keep my computer "safe" . sounds like a scam to me.

    My daughter just got the same message!!!  I think it is a scam too but will try to figure it out how to fix what files where downloaded.  If you have any other problems I would like to hear about them too!!!

    Don't call that number unless you want an infection. You probably don't have any infected files. This is just a website with an invasive pop-up. Open Safari in safe mode with the shift key held down and it should go away. Be smart and don't get scammed.
