Like above, caller claimed to be my granddaughter and arrested.  Spoke with other person who claimed to be a law officer name Captain John Adams (1st clue this was bogus--he chose to call himself the name of a beer).   They wanted 3,000 in Food Lion reloadable cards in $500 increments.  Called my granddaughter to check on her safety and did not pay.

My grandmother called me the morning after it happened. She was told not to tell anyone that I was needing 3000 to be released from jail and that I even spoke to her begging for her to send the money. She followed through and went to the grocery to send the money on a card after she denied using her credit card. This morning after I spoke to her they called back asking for an additional 2000 which she told them she had no more money and she believed it was a scam

This caller took my dad for $9,000.00 Wednesday. I love to find this [***]. Filled an FBI report and one with Riverside County Sheriff's Dept. I hope these people get caught and put in jail for a long time and then some.

It is unfortunate, but your father may need more help than you can afford him. Professional assistance, and institutionalism may be necessary.

A young female called my F.I.L. this morning pretending to be his granddaughter. The impostor claimed she had been arrested (Drugs & Guns in a car stop) by Boston P.D. and needed $4,000.00 wired so she could bond out. F.I.L. reported the money had to wired to Canada. A person claiming to be Captain Adams got on the phone and reported he would email wiring instructions. F.I.L called me and I call my daughter, who was A-OK. I called the number (1-855-868-7467) provided and spoke with the LEO impostor, Capt. Adams. (A male, 40ish to 50ish w/ a Boston accent). BPD and the Nashua County Jail are on Boston's 617 area code.

Scammer called my mother and impersonated a Richmond, VA police officer.  Told my mother that her grandson was in police custody because he was in a car pulled by police that contained drugs.  Instructed her to go to local grocery store and arrange for a $500 payment.  Gave her the phone number 855-868-7467.  Scammer called again to apply more pressure.  By that time, we had identified this was a scam and told the caller we knew this was a scam and scammer still tried to get my mom to send money.  They had someone impersonate the grandson and beg his grandma for help.
