Yes, I got a voicemail this afternoon too asking me to call back to that number.  In the voicemail it mentioned a file number and said I need to call by a certain time.  If not, they'll send some kinda paper to my address.  Is that what you got too?

I replied this afternoon and they are not who they say they are.  Steele Morgan is a debt collection company that is fraudently pretending to be a law firm.  Don't call them back and do not give them ANY information if you do.  They use scare tactics and intimitation.

Read my response to Molly please.  I never thought I would fall for what I fell for today.  And now I have shut down my bank account and am feeling like a total schmuck...not an actual law firm and definitly not representing another company other than themsevles.

I got this message yesterday:

When I called, a property management company person picked up. I asked who the company was; they said Xerox owns the building, but there are many companies within it. They asked the phone # I was calling and forwarded me; a David Garcia picked up, and asked my name; I requested the business name, he refused to tell me until I gave a ref file #, which I refused to do until getting a business ID. He hung up.

A person called my work today and wanted to verify a subpoena that would be sent out to an address she listed off saying I would be served there. She wanted to know if the address was viable or did I want to be served at another location. I noticed on my credit report that this company did an inquiry listing that I had given them permission to access my credit, which I never did. Any suggestions on how to stop them from doing this or clearing it from my credit?
