First call 9:22.... No message.
Second call 9:23... No message.
Makes sense that TXU Customer Retention Department would try and contact me. After more than 12 years with them, I just changed to another company. This should not be a delinquency call since I paid the final bill.
If the calls continue, I'll give an update after I contact them.

As others have noted this is TXU calling either regarding a debt collection or when you terminate service with TXU looking for final payment.  As others have noted they call often days before the final payment is due demanding you pay the outstanding balance.  In my case I'd already scheduled the payment online via the TXU system and it had been deducted from my payment account 2 days prior to the scheduled payment (Thanks TXU, why give me a date to schedule when you deduct it whenever you want?), and had already cleared my bank.  The person on the phone had no clue about this and continued to demand payment.  Asked to speak to a supervisor as I had already paid and was hung up on.  Thankfully they called my mobile as I then blocked the number.  Called TXU directly and filed a formal complaint with their customer service regarding the fraudulent collection attempt.

So, block that number!

2 days after switching electric companies, TXU starting calling telling me my account was "past due". Switched companies 8/17 & my bill is due 9/3! How can My acct. be "delinquent" when the bill is not due? Told them they will be paid on 9/3 like they are paid every 3rd of the month from auto payment through my bank

I received this call and they identified themselves as TXU.  I had just disconnected my deceased fathers account two days earlier.  They asked for his last four of social or driver's license.  I refused and said send me the last bill.  The person was not polite.  They hung up and I called TXU.  Final bill should be mailed, and TXU said they did not have any notes of a TXU representative contacting me.  so... sound like possible retention dept after reading the previous posts, the account had been open for over 30 years... I recommend hanging up and contacting TXU directly.

Probably is TXU....we had a house fire and temporarily relocated to a rent house so we had 2 TXU accounts....I paid the balance yesterday on-line.....very irritating to receive a call on a zero balance from an automated #.

There is NOTHING anyone an do with the last 4 of your social as it is not exclusive  to you

I never used TXU as a provider. Never had a TXU account.

I get a call from this number at least once a day. I answer and the call clicks off.  This is a place of business and then phone call every afternoon is wasting my time.  I'm not sure if we've ever been with TXU.  I don't know if the phone call is them I never get a response when I answer.

Identified self as TXU...the rest we all know...they used a different number this time.  Followed suggestion for notifying TXU of their error, but they required an acct number...go figure!

3+ calls per day for the last week.  Have never had TXU.  Glad to have magic jack, phone ringer off.  If it's important they (and many other unknown callers) will leave a messagw.  I get messages via email.

I received an automated call from TXU, asking me to validate who I was...wanted my last four of my SSN or DL. never has TXU?
pushed 0# and was connected with a human, imagine that. she said she was with the final billing department. I told her that this residence has never had TXU and to not call here again, she was still wanting my last four. i told her again that they had the wrong info and she said that she needed to resolve this. I informed her that this residence was on the national and state do not call list and that if I receive another call I will report it to the FCC and FTC. I guess we will see

STOP CALLING ME!!!!! I DON'T OWE YOU ANY MONEY!!!

No one here at 800notes is calling you.  Perhaps you might want to invest in call blocking device.

TXU keeps calling and I haven't had an account with them in 10 years.
