THIS IS A CALL FROM WESTLAKE FINANCIAL, REMINDING YOU OF A PAYMENT DUE

Westlake Financial must not have anything else to do.   They start calling before the payment is even due.  Seems like harassment to me.

They do the same thing to me!  They call me 8 days before my payment is do

I keep receiving calls from this number, I researched this number and it appears to be a number that I will get charged for if I do answer it, regardless I do not do business with any known affiliates for have not requested information that would allow this number to be contacting me.  I want my number removed or blocked from this calling list that is associated with this number.

I got a call from these people today too.  I just moved to the United States and got this phone yesterday.  Yet they kept harassing me, telling them I somehow owed them money?!?

This call is from Westlake Financial located in Los Angeles, CA. Their customer service # 888-739-9192.

Why do they CONTINUE harrassing me from this phone # 1885-884-5582?  At least 8 times DAILY and I am ONLY $20 short.  No MESSAGE left

These people are RIDICULOUS!!!!  We have our auto loan for our Jeep through Westlake Financial and they start calling the VERY DAY that your payment is due!!!  You would think that you were at least a couple of payments behind with the way these people call!  They just called us at exactly 9 p.m. on a Sunday night, waking my husband up who has to be up early for work, and our payment was literally just due today and our account is CURRENT!!!  Today is Sunday and we were going to make our payment online tomorrow, Monday, like we always do.  We have had our loan through them for about 10 months now and we have never missed one single payment.  I am about to send these idiots a nice little e-mail informing them that if these calls continue, especially at this hour of night (which is against the law), we will be filing a formal harassment complaint against them.

Refinance your loan through a credit union. You will get a better interest rate, local call center if you need assistance and they are always friendly.

Jo, what they are doing is called reminder / courtesy calls but they are deceptive, abusive, and exploitative debt collection call tactics. Your loan has it's provisions for what's considered late and assigning extra charges. Send a little cease and desist through their BBB explaining how they conduct business. Follow that complaint up with a complaint to the CFPB with violations under state and federal FDCPA. I called them, asked who they were, Westlake Financial services... Told them I don't recognize the name of their company, do they work for other companies.. couldn't tell me w/o more info on me.  Told them no, I don't recognize your name, do you work with Car loans, bank loans, credit cards... I can't tell you that w/o more info.. .are you a debt collector.. woman said no.  Told her my first name, said that was the person, I said then please remove my number for you're listing.

VERY EVASIVE when asked, what they do... and I specifically asked, are you a debt collector.. she said no.

I live in Birmingham, AL and keep getting calls from this number. I don't know how they got it. Our vehicles have been paid of for years and we have never had service with this company. They never leave a message and I'll be damned if I ask a number I don't know.

They've been calling me since January 2016, it's now May 2016. They never leave a message and they call at all hours of the day or night, weekends... It sucks. I got this phone number in December 2015, I'm thinking they're trying to contact the previous owner, but you'd think they realize that I'm not them.

Please reply to this post, to let us know you read it, or have taken suitable actions to protect yourself.

Answer the phone, and get their legally verifiable address, and send them a cease and desist letter.  If they continue to call, you can then sue them.

I get calls from these harassing people.  I happened to get my 17 year old niece I care for a cellphone in May. These calls immediately started in and been non stop since May 201 (it's now August).  They are looking for someone we do not know, and despite us telling them to stop (and filing several complaints with governmental agencies) the calls do not stop.  We changed the phone number in July, and they start calling the new number looking for the same person we do not know!

Westlake financial.  Keeps calling our business when told not to.  They say an employee owes on a car loan.  We don't care about that.  Call them on THEIR phone.
