this person just called and wanted to confirm our google listing and said it was recorded for quality control. He asked our name as it is in the listing the address postal code if it was correct I said yes this was correct, he then asked if I was authorized to verify the information I said no our practice owner is the only one authorized to give confirmations I said he would call him back he said is there a better time I could call back, I said I would go get him... HE hung up do not give these people any information SCAMMERS.

Recieved a phone call from this buinssess, asking to confirm our information for business listing and then said they would mail us an inoice for $499. As soon as that was mentioned, I said that this will not be paid and I thought that this was just a confirmation of our information. When I asked if this was a service we had used in the past, they said they do not have access to their past client list... SCAM! Who does not keep a client list!

Received this call to our office today. Began by asking me to confirm our business' address information, read it off to me and I confirmed that it was correct. She asked if I was authorized to provide that information and I said yes. Then she said they would be mailing a $499 invoice to us and I said "wait, is this a service (name of business owner) has already signed up for?" and she got a bit vague and then I stated "I am only authorized to confirm our address and information, I am not authorized to sign up for new services. You need to speak with the business owner directly for that" and gave his office hours so she could call back. This is a very tricky tactic, particularly for administrative assistants, the caller makes it sound like you are just confirming information that they already have on file, making it sound like you've already been doing business with them...especially confusing for organizations that have an online advertising presence with other companies and might mistake it for a company they have an account with. Beware!
