Claiming to be a Microsoft Certified Support company, this phone number appeared on the computer, telling mto call immediately because my computer was infected. Of course, they wanted access to my computer, and $200 to provide support service. I (sadly) gave them access to my computer, and they proceeded to delete my existing virus protection and other things. Goodness knows the extent of the damage, but for now, i just want to report them.

Call to tell me that unauthorized access has been made on my computer. Wanted to access my computer so they can help 'fix' it. Of course I was suspicious. This in NOT MICROSOFT.

I was foolish as I know very little about the computer as I'm a late bloomer. The guy said he was with "Smart P C Serve" and he said I had no security on my computer. He went on to explain there company was highly reconized by the Better Business Bureau. He said there Company had a (5) year Software Warranty and a (6) year Security Warranty for a cost of $ 1,000.00 dollars. It seemed reasonable, so I bought it. Coverage from (6-21-2018 TO 6-20-2023) I asked him for his employee ID: MS2158 and his ext number:125094 his name was "SAM" He gave me a Customer ID Number and a Security Code.

The cost of $1,000 sounded "reasonable"?  I doubt you paid that much for the whole computer.

I suggest you take the computer to a local certified repair shop & have them check for malware or any other garbage this caller may have put on it.  Then call your card company & file a fraudulent use claim.
