I received a message from this number where someone said that they received a fax in their office regarding some bad checks that I have written...I've never written a bad check to anyone.  The individual said that I have one opportunity to contact the corporate office of the company who sent them the fax before they will proceed with processing the "plaintiff's complaint".  They didn't list the name of the company, the date of the alleged offense, or any other pertinent information.  I have no idea who this is, and I don't respond to calls when I know that they are regarding falsified claims.

My wife keeps getting calls from a place claiming to be Shadow Creek. I am not sure if they keep using the same number, but this one was given as a callback number by someone calling himself Will Harris. Somehow they got ahold of personal information that showed we owed money to a place which we do actually owe money to. Immediately we researched it and found they are a scam. They keep calling, sometimes demanding that we pay them immediately or be faced with criminal charges and others acting like they were giving an official summons over the phone (Legal summons over the phone is not legit at all, any court summons must be presented in person and in writing). We haven't told them we are on to them yet. We almost fell for one of these schemes about a year ago and thankfully I researched the information before we paid them anything. Ever since then we have been researching who we are dealing with before we pay one cent to anyone.
    This morning they called and asked for her again, this time with a female voice on the other end. When I said she was unavailable they asked me to take a message. I wish I would have actually written the information down that she gave so I could post it as well. At the end she said it was regarding check fraud or something along those lines, which of course we have never done. If they call again I will make sure to get as much information as possible and report the proper authorities.

This number was used on a fake yahoo page to direct people to reset their yahoo accounts that have been frozen.  They then claim they are Yahoo! and can help reopen the account.  They ask for your credit card numbers and for Social Security information!!  DO NOT GIVE THIS INFORMATION OUT!!!  Yahoo! does not need this information and doesn't charge for their email accounts.

I needed to change my wifi password with at&t so i googled this exactly "what is phone number for at&t" afew things popped up but the number i chose to call was 855-888-2803 so i called that # i should have realized then how easy and fast it was to get a live agent. i told her the problem that someone got a hold of my password and sit outside my house and uses my wifi all the time i think my son gave these people my password. so i wanted it changed. the man asked me to get on my computer and to google www.letmein.com he was wanting me to do so much crap tom computer im not very good with computer stuff so i told the man i would have my husband call and do it the next day he saidthat was fine and to make sure and call him back at 855-888-2803n and ask for sam so the following day my husband called it was a women this time she told my husband to do exactly what the man had told me to do the day before so he went on www.letmein.com mind you we were under the impression we were speakin with a at&t agent. she said she would help us change our wifi password she pulled up all kinds of stuff on our computer then told my husband our internet had been compromised that someone had broke into our firewall that we had to change our ip address and a bunch of other bs and it would cost us that. so i got on the phone and said we dont have the money to clean up our computer and all we wanted was our wifi password changed so the kids using our wifi could n longer do it. she took down even more info like my bd and ss # she told us she would email us our new password in a half hour. a hour had gone by and no email so i called back and this time it was a man on the phone i asked him if i could speak to sam he ignored me and said mam what is your name and phone # i told him we have already given our info twice and i wanted to speak to sam or the lady my husband spoke with, he ignored me again and said mam what is your name and phone # and i said look i already did all this i told him the women we spoke with said she would email us our new wifi password in a half hour over a hour ago. he said no lady we cannot do that he was rude and said the women we spoke to lied to us. he then said we had to pay three hundred dollars today or we would lose our internet and everthing we had stored in our computer. he was rude and threatening. i asked for his name     and to speak to his supervisor and then click the phone hung up. this had become extremly fishy so i told my husband to get out our att bill and call the # on the bill. btw all three people we spoke to had strong east indian accents. so my husband calls # on the bill right away it said thank yu for calling att it was a automated voice and we had to go through many steps to get a live agent.  finally the agent answerd and my husband told him we needed to change our wifi password the man helped my husband step by step and guess what??? he was able to change our password for free without any problems and my husband did not need to log on www.letmein.com. my husband told the agent what had happend and gave the att guy that phone # the att guy said att dont have any phone numbers like that. now we new something was really wrong. my husband then yahooed the # 855-888-2803 and we read all of your guys comments and were in shock. i gave them all m info they were in our computer they were asking for money. i decided to see how far they would go to scam me so i called the # and *67 my phne so i could block my # and suprise suprise it was the same womens  voice my husband spoke to so i changed my voice and told her i wanted to order a makeuo kit from may k makeup and wanted to make the payment over the phone useing my credit card she said oh ok and i told her i wanted the black cat mascarra and eyliner and the ruby red lipstick and i told her i wanted to order the 89 dollar makeup kit. she was so happy to help me. btw it was all off the top of my head i do improv. she asked me if i had interne i said no and i asked her if i could make the payment over the phone useing my credit card she said yes that would be fine. at that point i new i was dealing with a scam artist so i hung up. i had my phone on speaker so my husband heard everything  i was freaking out a little they have my ss # bd date full name account # for att and they were able to look at all our files on our computer. my phone wrong back and the caller id just said toronto i didnt know if it was her so i changed my voice to sound like a man and she asked if she could speak with the woman so she could complete the makeup order. i acted like the father and said it must have been my daughter she left could i take a message. the women who clearly is middle eastern and said ger name was jennifer thomas and gave the same callb ack # i was pissed. so i waited a hour and thought i would test another thiery so i changed up my voice and called back this time it was the man i spoke to earlier. i told him i wanted to pay my comcast bill with my credit card over the phone he was very excited to assist me with that i hung up on him then again my phone range even though i blcked my # it was the same man my husband answerd and he asked to speak with the women who wanted to pay her comcast bill. my husband told him he has the wrong # and then he asked my husband if he wanted to pay the bill again my husband said " you have the wrong #" i reported it to att told them these people are pretending to work for them. att gave me a emai address to email and report them so i did it but it was the wrong email address. i would report it to the sherrif but im pretty certain they wont do a thing about it. now i have suspisiouse activity with m bank account its saying i am overdrawn and we no for a fact we had at least over a hundred dollars that just happend this morning the money was in there earlier. we never once gave them my card # or pin im getting ready to go to my bank and figure this out cause they have all my info and all the info and files we had online. this is scary. they are evil genises so i think they found away to acsess my bank account. i will let you al lknow what my bank says when i get back. i will not stop until i figure out who they are i just dont really know who to report them too. these people are doing any scam they can think of. you guys should try to do what i did tell them you want to order somehing useing your credit card or you want to pay a bill over the phone. they did not find me thats the crazt thing but if you google "what is the phone # for at&t scroll down and you will find that stupid phone # they are pretending to ba any agency t scam people for money. well they messed with the wrong people cause im gonna bring them down somehow. people be aware of 855-888-2803 god bless yu and good luck

I got the same deal u got. But I was calling Verizon about my account This guy name was Alex he also said the computer had been hacked into.And it wld. cost $300 to get it fixed. I told him I don't have that money. Then he said $99. I told him no  I didn't give him any info. But I did tell him the police wld be contacting him. He hung up fast . I deleted. my Verizon account. I've been keeping a check on my bank account. I don't do online banking but u never know.Plz watch out for the evil pple .
