Recorded message from a woman stating she was calling from the CRA and needed an immediate response back to the above number to discuss a serious matter

A recorded female voice stating I needed to call immediately as soon as I heard the message about a serious matter and to call 855-888-5933. This message was left on my answering machine. DON'T BELIEVE THE BULL [***].

The real CRA will send you tons of mail and chances to pay any debts you may owe. THE REAL CRA DONT REALLY HAVE THE  TIME TO CALL YOU AT HOME. which is why they will send statements if you do owe. And the real CRA accepts all forms of payment even installments. I know because I fell for it the first time emotionally under another number. It's was when they weren't willing to be the least bit flexible it hit me they are con-artists. They were good they had me believe there was a warrant out for my arrest.  Becareful and protect yourself. Give yourself the chance to get off the phone and call the real CRA.
And I have recently also owed the real CRA they are way nicer and willing to help and are on your side.

This is a scam they are trying to steal money from you.

Call them back and sell them some duct cleaning services!

Pre-recorded message with a female voice that claims to be calling on behalf of the Canada Revenue Agency.    The message claims that "a case" has been filed against us and that we should not disregard this call and call the number back immediately.

"If you have received a call and are not sure about the caller's true identity, you should not provide any personal information, including your telephone number. Given the fraudulent nature of the call, you should hang up and contact the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre (CAFC) at 1-888-495-8501, a national service jointly operated by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), the Ontario Provincial Police and the Competition Bureau."

"If you want to confirm the authenticity of the call, you can contact the CRA at 1-800-959-5525 for business-related accounts or 1-800-959-8281 for individual accounts."
